Exceptional Service and Delightful Indian Cuisine at Dawat
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Dawat in Montreal, and I must say, the experience exceeded my expectations in every way. One of the standout aspects of our visit was the incredibly swift service. We were in a bit of a hurry, and the staff at Dawat went above and beyond to accommodate us, managing to serve our entire order within just 10 minutes. While I’m sure such rapid service may not always be the norm, it certainly left a lasting impression on us.
Now, onto the food—each dish was nothing short of perfection. We started with the fish pakora, which was an absolute delight. The pakoras had the perfect amount of crunch, and the accompanying chutney was a flavor-packed complement that elevated the dish.
The mutton curry was another highlight of the meal. The mutton was cooked to tender perfection, with the rich, aromatic gravy infusing every bite with deep, satisfying flavors. It’s clear that a lot of care goes into the preparation of their curries, as the depth of flavor was truly remarkable.
The dal makhani was just as impressive. It was creamy, well-seasoned, and had the comforting, hearty taste you’d expect from this classic dish. The palak paneer was another winner; the paneer was soft and fresh, while the spinach gravy was flavorful and well-balanced.
Every dish we ordered was outstanding, showcasing the authentic flavors of Indian cuisine with precision and care. From start to finish, our experience at Dawat was top-notch, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a delicious Indian meal...
Read moreTerrible expérience. The chicken was not cooked. Don’t ever get any food from here. I called the restaurant to let them know about it and they told me they would give me a free meal. I decided to get something veg, they not only charged me full price, they also told me that they will take care of it. This place really needs an inspection from the government and staff needs to be trained on understanding the severity of these issues. A person could die and they would simply say they would take care of it next time.
The dish below is tandoori chicken. Not worth for being sick for 2 weeks and lying about a free meal.
Thank you for your message. It just shows me that you have no idea about your operation. If customers need to bring all the issues forward, i dont understand what food safety standards you possess. I have complained to the government with pictures. Good luck with your inspection and consider learning ways to avoid food safety issues. Build effective controls to ensure every customer is safe. Your business is more interested in making money than serving customers, learn how to...
Read moreamazing food - truly superb, also extremely fair prices and so so so nice. Don't waste time with justeat or ubereats save the fee order directly and then you can ask them for all sorts of special requests - once they just made a korma (not on menu at all) for my son, today Meg spent so much time helping me put together an order for my family and I had to remove a few items when the pice got too high - to my utter amazement the items I had removed were included for free with a lovely note. And when I called to say thank you it was clear she was really happy to have made us happy even asked how dishes she helped me choose for my son went over (perfectly and he's usually a very picky eater) - I can't think of any reason to order from any of the other local options you won;t get better quality, better prices, better combos, or nicer people. I wish I could...
