Bought a patty from them today, came home and found the potato filling inside real bad. That’s how this looks, total black. I don’t know from how long these guys haven’t changed their stock that it went this bad and stale. So I went back to the store and found the same employee, asked him to check one more in front of me, he took the patty behind the counter, opened it up but showed me another fresh patty. When I went to see behind the counter there was that black patty that he was hiding. Disgusting, even one bite of this can make you sick.

Please look at the expiry date and buy products from this store for a healthy life. You can clearly see the pictures showing expiry dates.Attached is the bill for proof of purchase.

They have a good selection of mixed masalas and whole spices, baked goods and sweets, snacks, pulses, grains, you name it. The store is pretty tight because it's always fully stocked so not accessible if you have a wheel chair or stroller. It could also use some ventilation as the smell is over powering at times. I really hate to say it but TAAZZA food market has gone down hill. When I first used to come here (2018) the owners were friendly and welcoming. Now they have employed a couple of very ill mannered individuals. Every time I have come to the store the person(S) behind the counter is holding their cellphone to their ear or FaceTiming their relatives, and god ever forbid you ask them a question, because if you interrupt their FaceTiming session/ phone call they will get angered and loud!

Over all very lousy, backwards service..... if the owners are reading this: please come back to work as the service you guys provided was excellent!

Side note: samosa and mithai are my favourite thing to enjoy from here, but now you can get them from any indian grocer now as the mithai is directly...

On my drive home from work the other day, I discovered this new South Asian grocery store. What a great find...they have a ton of products that you can't find in the big box grocers. There location is great, as it is close to 401. TAAZA will be our families go to spot for specialty products, oh and when I crave tasty Samosas and sweets. The staff at the store were super friendly, enthusiastic and very welcoming and patient with me...the day I was there the staff member (I believe his name started with a P or B, I'll get it down the next time I'm in) was very intent in sharing his knowledge of the products and what different ingredients were used for. Thanks for bringing this store to the Waterloo Region...as we are fairly underserviced by...

It is an “okay” place. What bothers me is that the person at the cash counter not wearing a mask in this time. When it is mandatory for others it is not for him. The reason he is not wearing is he have a turban. It is hard for him to wear it. Oh wait, I know few people who wears turban + face mask, why can’t he ? He is the brother of the owner, that is the reason. He is a sweet guy, but death and disease will not give you concessions because you are wearing turban. Take care of your self and us, as we are your customer, it is your responsibility to keep us safe when we are inside...
