Staff physically abuse the residents there. & the higher end staff don’t give 2 cents. They keep the bad staff and replace the good ones with bad ones. There’s people that actually go take the course to learn how to care for the elderly and how to work with them correctly but they rather hire the ones that have no compassion or empathy for others. Family owned company so if you’re thinking of working here don’t since The Upper management gets away with disrespect and discrimination as they are in position to terminate you whenever they feel like. Can’t make work relationships there, everyone side eye’s you. If you had really know what went on behind closed doors there, you wouldn’t send any family member there. Read moreFood was decent and accommodations were OK. But staff attitude was poor, at best, in the Egerton wing. My loved ones room routinely reeked of urine because the client was left lying in a soaking wet undergarment for hours. Bed linens were almost always urine soaked when we visited. Generally the room was not well maintained or cleaned very well. Staffing shortage is part of the problem but attitude was a bigger part. None of the staff seemed happy to be there. Stems from the top. Another patient's meds were given to my family member and there was NEVER any follow up with my family as to why it happened and how it would be prevented in the future, despite repeated requests. The health of my parent declined rapidly thereafter. We were fortunate to be able to move them to a much more caring LTC facility...
