DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY! I never wrote a review before but this restaurant has really bad customer service and i really do not recommend this place. My friend and i went here with a couple weeks ago. yes the food is decent but the pide my friend order was so small and dry, the value doesnt match with the price. I lived in Turkiye before so i do know what i'm talking about.
The food take forever to prepare and I had to wait for my meat doner for much longer than my friend. At first, I order it with the turkish rice. they came back and said they didnt have it. that's okay, I'm okay when they said they can offer regular rice as a replacement. but around 5 minutes later, they said they also did not have it any regular rice. So i end up only having it with fries. I order meat donner because i want rice not fries, and i had been craving the whole week for this, and they still charge me the same price for it. I said it's okay because I was starving at that point and only need something to eat. if you do not have turkish rice AND regular rice why dont you be upfront and tell us about it, instead of coming back and forth after having us to wait for over 10 minutes? it is a waste of time! It took at least 20 minutes for them to bring out the food since they took our order. My friends order arrive way earlier than mine but they waited for me to start eating which is why the picture looks like we had the food at the same time. we were still halfway through our food when they came and brought us the bill. There was still at least 15 minutes until they're closing but they are being such in a rush! the workers there was so rude. we came here knowing there will be enough time but they take forever to prepare the food. we were there at least one hour before they close. if you are in a rush then tell us right when we walk in so that we know when to expect instead of taking forever and rushing us out at the end! it is ridiculous and we couldnt even enjoy our time when it's supposed to be a nice dine out. Also, my friend went to the washroom and told me that there was a hole at the ceiling of the washroom! save yourself from this place! we ended up going to McDonalds right after this.
Will NEVER return to this place. I saw that they have so many ads everywhere recently which is why i wrote a review here so that YOU know this place is not as fancy as it seems from Instagram or google reviews. I know that the pictures look amazing and weirdly enough there's so many positive reviews which doesnt make sense with the attuite with the worker and how over priced it is with such a small portion. THIS PLACE IS...
Read moreMe and my family went to this location on Saturday for the first time and the food was amazing! The Iskender dish and the spicy salads were delicious and is a must try, the tomato sauce on top of charcoal grilled lamb and veggies was beyond expectation. The food was fresh and the tea/turkish coffee were a nice touch to start out our meals. We got a mixed flatbread appetizer and it has to be some of the best flatbreads ive ever tried, there was a lot of love put into the food. The service was great, we didnt have to wait too long for our entrees even though there were 5 of us, the appetizers held us long enough until it arrived. It is a smaller restaurant than normal but dont let the size fool you. The fresh charcoal grilled aroma of the place feels right at home. The prices are a little higher than I would like, a turkish coffee was like $4 per cup which is kind of extreme but it is a turkish coffee, so its not your every day cup of joe. The food prices are up there aswell but to be fair the portions you get per dish are enough for 2 people, so you get what you pay for, on top of the great tasting food, you cant miss ordering from here. The menu has something for everyone and has some unique options that you might want to try. The location is a great spot that leaves enough room for parking and we didnt have to wait for a table at the door in our case. Highly recommend this place, ill be coming back in the near future to try some more...
Read moreAntalya Turkish Restaurant is a must-visit for authentic Turkish cuisine in Kitchener! From the warm hospitality to the incredible food, everything exceeded our expectations.
We were a group of three and started with the lentil soup, which was rich, comforting, and perfectly seasoned. The mixed appetizer plate (babaganoush, ezme, hummus, haydari, and fresh baked bread) was a fantastic introduction to the bold and fresh flavors of Turkish cuisine.
For the main course, we shared the kebab mix, which was a true feast—adana kebab, kofta kebab, chicken shish, veal shish, lamb chops, chicken wings, veal, chicken doner, grilled tomato and pepper, house salad, white rice, bulgur, and more fresh baked bread. Every bite was packed with flavor, and the meats were grilled to perfection. The portion size was generous, making it perfect for sharing.
To end our meal on a sweet note, we had the kunafe with pistachios, which was crispy, cheesy, and drenched in just the right amount of syrup—absolutely delicious! We paired it with a Turkish tea pot and Turkish coffee, which added an authentic touch to the experience.
The service was outstanding—friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. Antalya Turkish Restaurant truly brings a taste of Turkey to Kitchener, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fantastic dining experience. We will...
