You will NOT find a better restaurant for a steak or service by my words. I've traveled most of the world, and I have eaten at some very fine cuisine prepared in fabulous and exotic locations. Boeuf Cochon Steak + Bar really beats out all of their competitors, at any price range, or value. Their meat is exceptional, the Porterhouse pictured in my review was simply the best I"ve had in 30+ years of eating high quality food. I would have taken a better picture, but somehow, I left none of that 1.5lb steak standing. With my steak I also received a Caesar Salad (which had some of the tastiest dressing I've ever had, and I enjoyed the flavor of the house croutons). In addition, the other sides were likewise amazing. The sauteed vegetables were crisp, and well seasoned; even tasting like they were fresh despite the time of year. The Baked Potato was likewise, fluffy and airy, like silk and filled with buttery goodness. Most importantly though, the service at Boeuf Cochon, will make you feel like a VIP no matter what. The customer service, and team here are second to none, and I am honored to have had the pleasure of encountering such a lovely restaurant and team. For my entire trip to Montreal, I do not plan to eat anywhere else. If you visit the city, and like food that is like an orgasm in your mouth; I suggest you visit Boeuf Cochon and never look back after.

Service was nice but a bit slow, and place was nowhere near busy. Waitress was super nice and presented us with different cuts of meats explaining a lot of things. Nice touch for a steakhouse. The cool on my steak was as asked, do quite happy with it. They do however add spices after the cooking process so that makes it a tad salty, but I understand the process. If you grill a piece of meat with too many spices on open flames, you will burn the spices and get bitterness. Oysters were fine and fresh, but lots of chipped coral in a bite and some of them were not properly separated from the shell. I must say their roasted potatoes are super nice. Crispy outside, soft inside and well seasoned. All things considered, it is a nice find. Recommended but a bit pricy. Bit then again, all prices everywhere exploded.

Food was tasty. We tried Caesar salad, Salmon tartar and Calamari, all very tasty We also had - New York strip (great taste, tender, cooked according to request) - Wagyu burger (not the same taste as the Wagyu steak, almost tastes like liver) - Boeuf cochon burger (was very tasty and huge, could barely bite into it lol) - Mashed potatoes great (tasty) - Fries (frozen fries - not a fan. I think for this time of restaurant home cut fries would have added value to the plate) For dessert: - Strawberry cheesecake : awesome - Cookie dough brownie: rich and decadent Price: - all is overpriced today including this restaurant. For 3 people 300$. (This includes 3 cokes and 2 gin tonics) Overall a great experience, would recommend.

I went there with a friend to try it out. Overall, the experience was good, but it's missing a little something to make it great.

Atmosphere was nice, I liked coming in and seeing the aged meat behind the counter. We were seated pretty quickly, the menu had some good options, but for a place who's name translates to "Beef Porc", I felt it lacked some porc options.

I ordered the Tataki Tuna as an entree, with a Filet Mignon steak for the main course. The tuna was well cooked and had a nice little sauce, but I cant say it was incredible. I don't know what was missing, but a nice change of texture would have been nice.

The same applies to my steak, it was cooked perfectly to my request, with the red wine sauce, everything was edible, but it lacked pazzaz... The steak had no spices or they didn't taste enough, the veggies that came with it were well cooked, but missed an oil or cheese or something to make them stand out. My baked potato was well done too and also tasted good, but I didn't taste the bacon much or the green onions. The skin wasn't salted like I had at other places before.

What I learned during the main course, was that you can ask to see the different meat cuts. They have a rolling tray they can bring to a table to show the cuts. I thought that was pretty cool, but since we didn't know they did this when we came in, we didn't get to experience it.

We asked for the desert, they also have a tray for that one. I was happy to see they had a Gluten Free desert, which they mentioned without me having to ask, which was a good touch for someone that's gluten intolerant like me.

The desert was very sweet and to my liking.

The biggest negative thing I have to mention is that there were a few fruit flies flying around as we ate that was a bit annoying.

So, overall, if you are looking for a nice steakhouse, this place is good. However, if you are looking for a new steak experience which will blow your mind, there are other choices out there. I think I personally tried too much that my pallet is too fancy now. I cant blame the...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at a fantastic restaurant where I had the most amazing meal! The highlight of my evening was definitely the 45-day dried tomahawk steak, which was cooked to perfection and simply melted in my mouth.

From the moment I walked into the restaurant, I was impressed with the excellent service provided by the manager. He was welcoming and attentive, taking the time to explain the menu and answer any questions I had about the dishes. He also recommended some great wine pairings to complement my meal.

The ambiance of the restaurant was perfect - it was warm, cozy, and had a lovely atmosphere. The decor is elegant and modern, and the lighting was just right to set the mood for a perfect evening.

But let's talk about the food! The 45-day dried tomahawk steak was simply amazing - it was cooked to perfection and had a delicious char on the outside, with a juicy and tender interior. It was a generous portion, so I was able to share it with my wife and kids. Mushroom and the creamy mash potatoes sides is delicious. And of course, we couldn't leave without trying the dessert - the chocolate cake was a heavenly indulgence that we savored until the very last bite.

We also tried a few other dishes, including the tuna tartar, which was fresh and flavorful.

Overall, I had an exceptional dining experience at this restaurant, and I can't wait to go back. The 45-day dried tomahawk steak was definitely the star of the show, but the excellent service provided by the manager and the lovely ambiance of the restaurant made it a truly memorable evening. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great meal in a wonderful setting.

Merci Michel... The...
