I no longer need to wonder why Maison Istanbul was empty on a Saturday night...
My family of eight and I recently celebrated a wedding anniversary at Maison Istanbul, and unfortunately, the experience left much to be desired. Our family and I were looking forward to a special evening, but it quickly turned sour.
Upon ordering our meals, I took a bite and was met with a sharp, painful sensation inside my mouth. Alarmed, I immediately spat out what I had bitten into, only to discover fragments of GLASS in my food. This was not only shocking but also extremely dangerous.
My concern grew when I informed the owner of this alarming incident. Instead of showing genuine concern and addressing the issue responsibly, the owner seemed indifferent and nonchalant. Their response was far from what one would expect in such a situation. To be told that finding glass in a meal is a "normal" occurrence and just a part of life was not only dismissive but also deeply unsettling.
Safety and customer satisfaction should be paramount in any dining establishment, especially when celebrating a special occasion. Regrettably, Maison Istanbul failed to meet even the most basic expectations in this regard.
I hope my experience serves as a cautionary tale for those considering dining at Maison Istanbul. This was not the anniversary celebration we had envisioned, and it's disheartening to see such a lack of accountability and concern for customers' well-being.
This being said, I will not even comment further on the bad service and tasteless food.

Read moreSeriously, driving for 15km and once arrived, the lady in cashier won’t serve us because she said that they are going to have a lot of orders today and they don’t have mush chicken even if i see that they have chicken ready to serve. I told her okay then, give me the beef. She said that it’s gonna be a waste to give you the beef they give so much portion in the dish.
What i understood that the lady doesn’t have the desire to serve us. I am not sure why. But i felt like there was a discrimination and that they reserve what they have for other customers. I don’t know who!

Read moreI ordered the 2 kebab plate with salad and French fries only. It seemed that there was a misunderstanding with the waitresses as my order was mistakenly delivered to me with burghul only. I reiterated what I had wanted, but was only met with another misunderstanding as this time I was given rice with French fries and burghul on the side. The third time wasn’t the charm as again I got the wrong order.
Despite these minor frustrations, I genuinely felt that the waitresses were trying their best to understand or accommodate for my order. While I wish that communication wasn’t an issue, the kebab was simply divine. It was cooked with care and the cook preserved the juices in each bite. It was simply an explosion of deliciousness. Well done!
