Don't be deceived by the high star reviews, most if not all are from people who BOUGHT stuff not repairs, if you actually come here for repairs just go to a different place, December 8th of 2024 I brought in a gameboy booster boy for what I believe would be an easy job for a tech repair shop, whomever had owned this device before me tried to make repairs on the circuits with hot glue instead of a proper solder, so I brought this thing in and asked them to remove the glue and solder the wires into place, the issue before dropping off was a small one, the right light on it would not turn on, but the left one worked albeit dim, that I already knew and the problem was the bulb needed to be replaced, I could do that one myself, however when they returned to me, the plastic had been warped on the inside AND the outside near the speaker and now the gameboy doesn't even fit in the boosterboy due to the plastic being warped, THEN the guy behind the counter had the gulls to claim it was partly my fault because I didn't give them the gameboy and the screws to it, normally I would agree however, the problem of the lights does not require the gameboy to work, it runs on its own battery and I'm actually glad I didn't give them the gameboy because who knows, maybe the plastic on the gameboy would also be warped, and explain to me how them having the screws would prevent them from being dumb enough to WARP THE PLASTIC ON THE OUTSIDE AND INSIDE?!
"perhaps it was a problem of communication" I hear you saying except the fact when I dropped it off I explained to them not once but twice what was broken, what needed to be fixed AND what it should look like when fixed.
and I understand perhaps working with retro stuff like this is out of their expert but it doesn't take a rocket scientist to know PLASTIC MELTS UNDER HIGH HEAT IF YOU ARE NOT CAREFUL, they showed 0 care for the electronic I was paying them for, in the end I didn't pay because I was not going to spend 50 bucks for a botched job
I end this by saying if you do intend to go here, wear a mask because the smell is revolting, the place has an odd funky...
Read moreJust left this place about 20 minutes ago. My household has purchased several of the same 3.5mm Apple knockoff headphones in the past from here, so we knew this location had the pairs we like. We wanted an in and out, quick transaction. Take my money!
However, the service here was so incredibly rude and pushy (maybe it was the guy I got today? He has glasses). I wanted a couple pairs of the regular 3.5mm headphones of the Apple knockoffs. The guy at the store was so aggressive trying to get me to purchase the nicer “Apple” headphones. So I asked what the difference was between the pair? I was good to purchase the standard ones or even upgrade if there was a difference. Instead of telling me that they have better sound quality, last longer, etc. he kept repeating that they’re Apple (they’re not Apple, just nicer knockoffs - Apple has licensed locations to purchase from, but anyway.. besides the point). I had no problem purchasing whichever pair and was ready to give my money, but he continued being rude, providing no technical knowledge of his equipment, and was asking to see my phone as if I didnt know what I already wanted. I said no, and he then put his hand forward, in my personal space, and aggressively said “let me see your phone”. At that point, we decided to leave, hit up the place in Milton Mall and purchased there. This guy essentially was progressively raising his voice at me the 2 minutes we were speaking.
I’ve never had such a confrontational and aggressive salesman looking to scam shoppers before. Beware of this place or if you go, steer clear of the guy with glasses - he is a complete jerk. The other employees have been fine...
Read moreIt all started when I got my laptop. I was so happy. A brand new 500$ laptop, and it was a gift to me. So when my dog hit it off my bed and the screen started to look black, I was PANICKED! I googled computer repair places in milton as soon as possible and i knew xoomtech was at the end of my street so I called in as soon as I saw the name and boy, am I glad I did. I talked to the guy on the phone and he told me to come in and he helped me through my panic even though that's not his job.
I got there five minutes later, and he reassured me it was just a broken screen and that they could repair it. My dad was convinced that best buys geek squad could take care of it, but after hearing the repair was 400$, I thought "no way!"
I went back to xoomtech, and the guy at the counter remembered me by name. He took in my computer and told me the repair cost was only 120$. That was yesterday at 3p.m and today at 3:20 p.m I got a call that my computer was ready for pickup. I was not expecting this as it was expected to be ready for the next day. Since they did such an amazing job and the prices are so great, dont bother going anywhere else. Since they did such a good job on my laptop, I will definatly have them look at my tablet next. Thanks so much Xoomtech for...
