Reply back from Tra Gung: Hi there thank you very much with deep appreciation for your prompt reply, this is Tra Gung who complained in here yesterday regarding Lady Tii and I could not leave a second review nor reply to you with my account that's why I chose to use a friend's account here. First of all, I am 1/4 Vietnamese in ethnicity, dual passports Canadian and American nationalities therefore I would never be a racist. In. Fact I really adore the other two girls who serve us on Jan 13th since they are absolutely nicest girls ever. We have been staying in Milton for long enough and a lot of our friends enjoy food from your store as well, including us. We were loyal customers ordering takeaways, sometimes even our neighbors help us get the food, therefore we have no bias against your store at all. Since I'm always busy in my own companies I seldom come and dine in, yet the two times, one in Mid June 2023 when I came all the way foe take away and 13th of Jan 2024, I have both had not so nice experience only with one waitress, as mentioned previously Mid June I could not recall the name or face of the waitress who performed low standard of service. We would never have bias against anyone I hope you understand as I said the other waitresses were very nice to us and we even chatted with one girl who's like an angel. During brunch and on my way to bathroom I for sure saw Tii smiling to white customers and introducing the dish number, however to us though she simply puts down the hot dish not so nicely without smiling or speaking a word, especially when I ordered fish sauce after the short ribs she was showing a not so delighted face, and sliced the fish sauce a bit quite loudly on our table. I was looking back and I saw her always with her phone sitting on a table back there while one other waitresses and the receptionist were so nice & polite working hard. I did not know Lady Tii before and I have no reason at all to defame her since I am stating my true feelings and this is what customers do they express their perspectives from their hearts. I would never be biased as my mum is half Vietnamese why would I ???? I would say even my parents order take away always from your store we simply live a few minutes away we used to be big fan. One more thing I said it's funny coz I found Tii identical prononciation as Tea and therefore expressed my true feeling, as in it is interesting, cute and funny. I was enduring myself hard not to question Tii, and I asked her name since I wanted to complain to the owner, I was holding grudges as well. Hope you understand it was coming from my heart and of course I appreciate your apology and your reply, knowing that you are a reasonable and sincere person. Just hope that you do comprehend my feelings as well. Honestly I had not been felling good since then I even got insomnia last night. This is all I could say. Thanks for taking...

Please do READ THIS if you ever consider coming to Pho! I swear to God with my life I was indeed treated very, super, extremely badly by the staff called Tea who’s always wearing a bun, a Vietnamese woman & I have witness who’s my husband sitting next to me. Of course, feel free to check the camera as well for proof I’ll continue next page.

We ordered a Teppanyaki of short ribs & Tea served it extremely roughly by just slipping it on the table while the food itself was very heated! I asked her for a fish soup & she was impatiently, glaring at me showing that she feels annoyed by me

Continue as above, the lady Tea then angrily & rudely slide the fish sauce onto the table, spilling the sauce out onto our face! While she’s polite to the whites as I saw on the way to washroom,she’s very rude to Asians & please check camera as proof

I wonder why this company would hire someone like Tea it basically just scaring off Asian customers, I hv friends living in Milton who hv the exact same experiences & they are Asians as well,my friend Marissa even wanna post this on social media

I called back & explained this situation of how Tea mistreated us & a girl answered the call claiming that she’s just a friend of the boss visiting the shop but my other friends told me she’s always there which makes me don’t ever return!

I’m actually considering to contact the according governmental department to complain about this issue, this is humiliation as well as unfairness to customers who pay to attain good service & good experience in a Restaurent as they dine!

No jokes I even would definitely, immediately contact the police if Tea really hurt me while rudely throwing down the hot dish & fish sauce!

How could a Restaurent bear with a staff treating customers this way? Of is Tea the boss? If she is, this is too intimidating and please stay away from...

Staff could be a little friendlier, perhaps a greeting at the door would be nice rather than that "what in the hell do you want?" kind of look. What do they think I'm looking for at lunch in a Vietnamese restaurant? Plumbing supplies? A round of golf?

They could definitely use a renovation as it kind of has a dark Vietnamese-style gothic look going back to the Saigon days before it fell into the hands of the Viet Minh. "Me love you long time!"

I sat for ten minutes without being told I was supposed to fill out the order sheet myself as I kept waiting for the waitress to come back. See what I mean? I could have been politely told that as a first-timer they never saw at their restaurant before. Brisk business at lunch, it's a popular place, yet there seemed to be plenty of chit chat at the counter without much attention to patrons on tight lunch time schedules.

I had the lunch special. No. 169 "vermicelli with two pork spring roll with peanuts on top". It was actually quite good and at $7.25 didn't break the bank. It's a good introduction to Vietnamese food at that price and all their lunch specials are the same price.

Getting accustomed to the lack of service, after finishing my meal I gave up on waiting for the waitress to return with a bill so I walked up to the counter instead. (I get the feeling they're not really interested in tips!)

1/5 for laughable service and decor and 4/5 for food quality and value.
