Eggsmart — Restaurant in Milton

Came here with high hopes. Saw tons of great reviews online. After our visit I have to say the food quality is just not there. Could be friends and family of the owner that left 5 star reviews. I've eaten at TONS of breakfast places in the GTA that are way better than this.

In terms of service, it was subpar. We hadn't even sat down and our server was waiting for us to order, thought that was funny. She also came in really close to our faces to take our orders which I did not like. Coffee is self-serve brought in a thermos, I personally think that's just lazy and it should be served by the server in a carafe.

In terms of the food , nothing except the potatoes tasted okay. The bread wasn't even toasted, it was soft and buttered....thought that was gross. Pancakes were cold right from the start and they were suppppper dry even with syrup on them. My husband always finishes his food, he did not finish his skillet, it has no flavor. It was not appealing at all and the peppers were raw. My eggs were not over medium, they were over easy. The fruit was served in a medicine cup and the strawberries were super mushy. Either the fruit was all cut up a few days ago and arranged in the cups or it was frozen. Over all food quality here was a zero for us!

The payment terminal was super greasy and dirty. I guess COVID restrictions get lifted and all sanitation and hygiene go...

I come here regularly, my experiences have been very consistent. Good food clean environment and good service. There are three waitresses we have been served by two of which are very pleasant and deliver exceptional customer service. I was served by the waitress with a long pony tail three times and she clearly does not care for customer service, nor does she treat everyone equally. We felt very unwelcome by her all three times. With this incident we waited a while prior to getting our order taken she was unapologetic, very short with conversation and rude, as she was the last two times. She then served others who came in after us, before us, leaving us waiting even longer. After serving us food she checked up on the other tables and left us out. We then flagged down another waitress, who then had her come over. I truly felt discriminated against and this is not the first time I felt this way when she served us. Considering I’m a regular and have had delightful experiences with all other staff, I’m very dissatisfied with how she treats us and the fact that it was not once but three times is unacceptable. Update: Customer service has surely improved and the experience is not so stressful and frustrating anymore. Wait times for both dine in and takeout have reduced so much. The taste of food is definitely the strongest point about this restaurant.

Previous: I come here for both takeout and dine-in a lot for their delicious food but over time their service simply becomes unbearable. They are busy over the weekends but even during quieter times I almost never get greeted when coming in and they treat you as if you don’t exist unless you chase after the servers yourself. Table service is also very awkward and you feel like they don’t even wanna talk to you. Today we’re sitting right here. It’s been over 20 min and they won’t give us water even after we kept asking. Another table who came in at the same time we did are already having a full table of both water/beverages and food.

When I do takeout the wait times they give you are also super unreliable and once I waited almost an hour for one thing that’s pictured below. They clearly rushed it because I kept asking, and the presentation was just...
