My cousin who is living in Montreal, went to Purba Furniture. The salesperson (SARAB) was very gentle when he went to get furniture from them. They selected the full king size bedroom set and sofa set with coffee table.
Furniture was delivered on December 08.
The problem started with them since delivery guys arrived, the bedroom set has to go on second floor. They mentioned that the headboard of king bed it too big, its not gonna fit. We asked them to take headboard out of box and then try but they refused as they are not allowed to open the box. The reason was if they opened the box. They are not responsible you have to keep the headboard even if it fit or not. So this was my first time experience the store was saying we canât deliver it without box. We called the store they agreed to take out from box only if we take the responsibility and pay the due balance which was $6000, we ended up paying $3000 before opening the box of headboard and without box it actually fit. But here I was so disappointed that customer service is so poor, they are doing business but donât really know how to take care of their customer. Story doesnât finish here, so now all the furniture is on second floor, the balance due is $3000 the delivery guys received call from store that you will start assembling furniture only after we will receive $3000. This was so crazy usually everyone pays after everything is setup but this store they think they are very smart. SARAB the salesperson he just care about sale and money, no customer satisfaction matters to them the delivery guys were at our place for around 5-6 hours but this salesperson was giving hard time, every time different statement.
In the pictures it is very clear that sofa seat size are not perfect. We showed them pictures they are saying nothing is wrong in that, it just needs to be well placed. It clearly shows that corner seat is pushed a-lot but still the corner of seat doesnât fit in properly. Even the cushion they send with sofa was different colour. we went from montreal to replace them
Coffee table we selected was silver in colour but they delivered golden colour and promised to change it, till date no updates when they are going to replace it.
Till date no update from them. They donât care about customer I am going to attach all the pictures.
I hope they are going to fix this for us. Worse experience with PURBA FURNITURE, never recommend them. I can write a-lot for them but feel like...

Buyer beware, I bought $12,000 worth of furniture from here over 3 weeks ago.. they still havenât tried to come to finish the set up in my home.
They operate on their own clock and expect you to accommodate their nauseating time frames.
They damaged our brand new kitchen table and still havenât sent anyone to fix it. I have two items that needed to be hung on the wall and they STILL havenât sent anyone to do this simple job. We bought two nightstands with built in phone chargers and they delivered two of same right handed night tables so the charger is on the same side for both. Ridiculous oversight but common sense seems to be wasted on them.
Donât get stuck in this endless cat and mouse chase with them this is how they operate their âbusinessâ.
Scam you out of your money and lie to you daily about when they are coming and that they will come on time. Always tomorrow but tomorrow NEVER comes.
If youâre dumb enough to buy anything from this store after reading my review then you deserve to get scammed and lied to.
Bunch of slimey salesmen who donât know how to tell time and will just dump their damaged goods in your home and leave you to figure it out.
UPDATE: Very professional replying to a review instead of a paying customers calls and texts. You absolutely disregard the time slots I provided I was more than flexible and even called the store before your guys arrived to tell Them not to bother coming as I was beginning work. Itâs not at all my fault if you and your employees arenât able to deliver on a promise or show up for an appointment scheduled the week prior. When people give a time window of availability itâs understood that they are available for ONLY that time. Showing up at the end of a time window isnât going to work- thatâs common sense. Not to mention that you confirmed the tech would be showing up in the MORNING. Last I checked 12:15 itâs the AFTERNOON. I can include pictures too I have zero reason to lie. You lost a valuable customer and probably many more after this review.
Doubt people drop 12 k in one visit at your store. Too bad professionalism and customer service and good communication is wasted...

I bought a dinning table set from here and got a decent deal in it, finally delivery and everything satisfactory. I liked them and went back to them when I needed a sofa for my living.
The leather Sectional Sofa we liked was one of them most expensive in their show-room. We were worried about the leather being genuine or not and the sale person to the owner himself guaranteed us that it was genuine and gave it in writing that the leather sofa was in warranty for materials and workmanship.
Within six months of purchase, surface of sofa started to peal off, I took some pictures from my mobile and went to them. Upon my complaint, their first question was "Did we sell it to you as genuine leather or as bonded leather". First I was shocked with this question as it was clear the they led about it being genuine as themselves weren't sure what they sold it as. They said to send me pictures to them in email so that they can show it to the vendor. I did add they advised but then they never talked to the email even after many reminders. When I called they said they are waiting for the vendor to reply. As they kept tricking me on phone, I went to them again to talk face to face and this time they said that vendor wants to see one of the pieces, now again I tried to corporate and brought them one piece from sofa which of course left my living room with a a half split sofa. Again same game on phone and when I went back in two weeks this piece of my sofa was just sitting there in one corner. Now they said I could take that piece back and they will work with vendor which they actually never did. They didn't even give me vendor's contact when I offered to deal with the vendor directly. They kept giving me run around on phone and in my visits until I was exhausted from this exercise. I wasn't left with much stamina and patience to do any legal action against them and gave up on it. Bough another sofa from Costco which I'm pretty happy with.
Moral: Purba furniture is a FRAUD when it comes to authenticity of products, customer service...
