When insisted to know what is the expiration date of choosen item was answered that everything displayed is of superior quality and incredibly fresh. Moment after I found dairy product with the BB date passed 3 month ago. The store owner just return the expired item back to fridge. I took this item to a cash box and the store owner sold it to me without hesitation. At that moment, I informed him that I am going to submit a complaint to CFIA. I was pushed out of the store with promises not to allow me in anymore. To add to the story, the shop owner was wearing the mask on his chin, not even under a nose. Expected, when asked to cover the face properly, answered that I will not tell him what to do, this shop is a private area where he decides what and how to wear. Visit date...

Good for anyone who loves east European food. Good prices, good stuff and good staff. You can find Romanian /Moldavian/Russian specific food (similar/shared to the other Romanian shops like pickles 🥒, "mititei", bread 🥪, specific prepared or smoked meats 🥩, cheese, condiments, etc) but also some original imported products that you can find only here (like Russian butter biscuits 🥠 , Rom chocolate 🍫, or Eugenia, Borș, Fanta, Borsec bubbling water, etc) and some very good locally prepared (sur place) food (Romanian salted cheese pie, or a very delicious cake, etc). The shop is relatively small but clean, the personal is nice and polite. Sacrifice a half an hour to go there to see all the products they have, you will be satisfied, even if you are not yet used with this products (I saw here an Important pourcentage of non est-European persons also buying). Despicable attitude from employees every single time. Not worth it for us considering the prices and the unwillingness to help of the employees. We tried giving it a chance many times but there is something happening every time. Last time there was an angry employee puffing and scuffing cause somebody dropped a bottle of something, even when they offered to pay for it. This time the cashier got all puffing cause the price was wrong on a pack of sausages. Went back to the deli counter and came with a higher price on the label. Every visit leaves us with a bad taste, although the products seem fine, it's just not worth it anymore. We are not in Eastern Europe, we will put in the effort to drive to a respectful place.
