The food here is fantastic. The owners, who are also the chefs, are patients of mine and invited me to their restaurant. I have to say that first of all the place is very clean. That to me and my family is very important. We were greeted very warmly by the server and the owners. We ordered appetizers... Shish kebab, samosa, and tandoori chicken... The food came fast and tasted exceptional.. not too salty or too oily. My kids and wife found them a bit spicy, because my wife is Quebecois and the kids are mixed and not used to too much spice. I found the appetizers perfect. Very tasty and cooked perfectly. The food was served rapidly. Our main dishes were 4 butter chickens and one other different chicken... Sorry can't remember the name.. It was different.. We ordered rice and nan bread. It was awesome. Perfect. The kids loved it and my wife too. They want to go back with my mother and my brother and his kids cause It was so good. The resto is nut free which was a big selling point for us because I have 3 kids and 2 are allergic to all nuts... Nothing is cooked with nuts. The desserts, however, are from outside and could contain nuts. The restaurant advertises as nut free. We would not have gone if the owner didn't assure me that they do not cook with nuts. The server was very nice. He served us water and served the food quickly and always asked if we were ok. Very nice guy and friendly. We will definitely be going back. The owners are super nice and it's a family run business. Definitely...
Read more3 stars BUT This place deserves 5 stars! I ordered for 2 yesterday on justeat and all went well apart that I was sure that they had forgotten my samosas! In fact, they had buried it under one of my main meals (under Biryani chicken)I had ordered. When I called them, they explained it was one of their traditional meal, it's the way they serve it. That I would love it. Well... If my Biryani chicken had not been the spicyiest one I have ever tasted, i'm sure I would have loved it but it turns out, I couldn't eat none of it :( Way too hot / spicy for me. (never had it sooooo spicy! even in my time spent in Kerala!) My Tunisian husband, is used to eat extra spicy, and he was sweating big time eating it and could only eat half the plate. The rice too was too spicy so I ended up having dal soupe (wich was the best one I ate from delivery, even beter than my home made one) and the butter chicken was mild and creamy and real yummy. In all, for all those spicy/hot food lovers, I recomm the place, super nice people (delivery man and staff over the phone), fresh food for sure, good prices. We will try going there for brunch sometime, after our tastebuds recover ;) Long life to this place, wish you all the...
Read moreNever judge a book by its cover. An old adage that holds true with this restaurant. After having heard so much about this fairly new West island establishment, I decided to try it out for myself. Wow! Nestled within an older strip mall off a main street, this little gem will spice up your taste buds and leave you wanting more. A husband and wife team run this eatery and it truly shows with the food that's served. Fresh authentic home cooked Indian food at very reasonable prices. Bring your own British beer or favorite spirit to really savor the spices that lurk within each dish. The Seekh Kebab entree was nicely spiced and served on a sizzling hot fajita platter. The rogan Josh lamb was cooked just right in an intense but smooth sauce; served with naan and basmati rice. Lastly, our favorite was truly the butter chicken. This curry classic will tantalize your taste buds with tender chicken pieces sautéed in a buttery curry sauce. If left in your mouth long enough, you will taste the hint of coriander and ginger spices that make this dish the house favorite. I rarely give any restaurant a 5-star rating but these people deserve every...
