Listen to the negative reviews. We ordered a cake for my nonnas 90th birthday. Cake was simple enough, tall fruit cake with writing on top that said “happy birthday nonna”. Hard to mess up. My mom had placed the order through the phone a couple days before pickup and asked me to go in and pay for her a day prior to us picking it up. The cake was $50, and I clarified it was still for the next day as my mother had already specified the time and day she would be picking it up. She went in the next day at the time she specified, they still didn’t have the cake ready. That could’ve been easily overlooked if the cake was actually a good cake. It looked like a toddlers attempt at baking. The only thing that was right was the fact that it was white with fruit on top. For starters, the entire cake was leaning and looked like if you blew out the candles too hard the cake would fall over. They had slapped on one layer of frosting with the cake still very visible, but slathered globs of frosting between the layers and called it a day. On top of that, they didn’t write the message we had asked for. Again, the looks of the cake were disappointing, but could have been overlooked if the taste made up for it. It didn’t. Pure styrofoam. The cake was hard and extremely dry and tasted like somebody’s freezer, and the icing tasted like old perfume. Needless to say this cake was super disappointing since my mother was excited to try it after reading good reviews. We often pick up three or four calzones over there and I have to say they are phenomenal. They give you a huge calzone that sticks out of the box with this huge container of meat sauce. That's just really delicious. If you're very hungry, this is what you're going to order. Yeah it's a little pricey but it's really worth it. They also pack it really well. I like to take the pepperoni extra cheese one and they really packet it really well. It's delicious. Their sauce is very good too. It's sauce that's been around and they're family I believe for a while and it's just really, really tasty so you might want to go there and try it out. The pizza is also very good although pricey check out their menu, they have specials. If not, just go there and order anything and it'll be good. So don't hesitate. You always give it a try. We were 10 people for dinner at 5:30 on a Thursday nite. The positive was the food is very good, no complaints. The service was good from the server's standpoint, the kitchen however was a terrible failure. Bottom line, we left the restaurant at 9:00 PM which is totally unacceptable. It was an hour before we were even served a roll and that we had to ask for. Appetizers were another 45 minutes. When I complained I was told the kitchen was busy. Hello, you are supposed to be busy. If you cannot handle the 10 tables max then you shouldn't be in business. As I explained to our server, it wasn't her fault but honestly, 3 1/2 hours for a meal. Ridiculous.
