This place has been around since the good old days.. 50+ years. It was a hidden gem with the Best steamed hot dogs and brown floppy poutine fries around...in the good old days.

We used to have cravings and drive 30 minute's to get those perfectly rubbery hot dogs and poutine with cheese curds so fresh they would squeak when you bite them (that's how you know they are authentic and fresh).. it was one of those magic places that should have never changed a single thing. The original building was a trailer park style trailer complete with trailer park boys to serve you that dosage of artery clogging goodness.

Unfortunately they renovated into an uncomfortable eat in dinner for the locals who commonly give dirty looks to the younger or less frequent customers who have to stand in line for 15 to 20 minute's and in the process I guess they must have changed their kitchen equipment which changed the thickness of their fries. Their fridge or lazy staff is constantly serving moldy hot dog buns and Italian poutine sauce that will come out faster than it went in. They changed their wax paper wrappers and boxes for the fries so everything tastes like cardboard and paper bags.

We are die hard fans, but after realizing that checking the hot dog bread for moldy green fuzz and saying a prayer of protection before eating it had become a routine, it was time to say no. The staff if unremarkable and...

Pretty abhorrent customer service. My first time as a customer. Ever. I decided to place a pickup order on Skip The Dishes as I was in a noisy mall when I decided to order lunch and have it ready when we got there! I'm also not a francophone and have had some bad experiences as a newcomer to the area! So ordering on the app was more convenient. Had I known what would happen when I arrived I would not have ordered at all! An older gentleman, thin build and short or no hair scolded me like a child for using the app. Said I had paid way more money because I couldn't be bothered to just use the phone and call in! No hello, no hi, no how are you, just immediately jumped into scolding me in front of a full restaurant! I was shocked. I was speechless. He kept going on for several minutes before pushing the bag of food at me and chirping "well suit yourself, hope to see you again". To which I replied "you probably won't, after speaking to me the way you just did!" And he acted like he was shocked that I found this interaction so offensive. Food is fine. I've lost my appetite and would not return here, no matter how...

Used to really like coming to this place until my most recent visit ruined it all for me. My friends & myself will no longer be going here because of an awful experience. Soo bizarre that there is NO superior that you can speak to lol. Very cheap, the man was extremely rude, no interest in helping his client, no customer service whatsoever, no manners, no social skills, no nothing. The cashier looks like he’s forced to work. He really should be kicked out. No one will tolerate his awful unacceptable attitude. Don’t think I ever spoke to anyone with such disgusting behaviour. He was mocking us, trying to make us look like idiots. Also, they don’t use any gloves or anything, & behind the counter seems dirty. They also were accepting of their clients eating food they fried in old, too used frying oil that had an awful inedible taste that made us sick. They did nothing to accommodate us when there was clearly an issue. Very sad, never expected to experience...

Solid casse croute happening over here. I was recommended this place from a buddy living in the west and it’s a pretty sweet hidden gem. Poutines are generous and have just the right texture. Fries were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Cheese curds were legit with just enough squeakiness. Sauce did have a beef base taste but I wasn’t totally sure as I inhaled my meal in 2mins. Also had the cheeseburger, pogo and onions rings. Pogo was dece but felt a bit doughy inside. I think it could’ve used a bit more time in the fryer. Onion rings were pretty light and crispy. Burger was just how I liked it, thin meat patty with crispy edges. Smashed on top with handprint on the buns so you know it’s authentic. Overall it’s a great place to give your heart a workout. Fell asleep roughly 15 mins upon getting home. 4 tums out of 5

I went online and most of the reviews said best poutine ever so i had to try it out and it is!! The fries are cooked to perfection and theres sauce and cheese all the way through not just at the top like most restaurants they skimp on the cheese well not here & also if you want real poutine cheese this place is a must try I definitely will come back to try other things on the menu and recommend you do too!! Went back to try out their beef gyro wrap thats very juicy and taste good with a side of poutine of course. Portion size is well worth it.

1. The fries were full of warts. Absolutely terrible! See pictures. 2. The place is run down, like it hasn't had any renovations since the 70s, the leather benches are torn apart. 3. The kids running the kitchen (approx 14 year olds) are rude. 4. The prices are fair for today's standards, but the portions are not. Sauce is indeed almost unique, like they used to make it. But this is no excuse for the rotten or poor quality potatoes.
