Have been buying here for years. All good, no complaints... until unfortunately now. Prior to pandemic, $20 for my weekly or sometimes biweekly order. About a month in to the pandemic, we finally returned to support this establishment. Now $22 for the same order. Ok, no problem. Two weeks later, $22. Two weeks after that $24. When I questioned it, was asked.... do you buy meat? Do you not see the increase? No I have not yet seen an increase and I buy for four men in our family weekly. Then I was told, our price was never $20. Well I paid $20 prior to the pandemic and have debit statements proving that. I get that businesses are struggling and I fully want to support our local community. However, do not price gauge and above all, do not talk down to your customers. Will never return here again. Plenty of other places offering the same quality of food without the gauging and above all, no negative attitude. It’s a shame, as their...
Read moreToday was my first time getting breakfast from your place, and honestly, I was blown away by how delicious everything was! The manakish were absolutely amazing — the dough was super thin and light, and the toppings were top quality. The cheese was rich and flavorful, and the za’atar man’oushe had fresh green za’atar that tasted incredible.
I also tried the Syrian sfiha with pomegranate molasses, and it was out of this world — just like the ones back home in Syria. As for the Arabic sweets, they were super tasty with a great variety to choose from.
But what impressed me the most was the generosity and kindness of the owners — such warm hospitality and a truly welcoming atmosphere. And I have to mention how clean and well-kept the place is — really impressive!
I absolutely recommend this spot to everyone, and I’ve officially made it my go-to breakfast place for every weekend! Wishing you all continued success and...
Read moreThis is a Lebanese bakery specialized in popular patties. You can find manakish (singular: mankoushi) for breakfast. They have it in all its forms. Either with thyme (the basic and most famous), cheese, meat or kishik (which is dried fermented yogurt). All of them are delicious. For all of these, you have options, either plain (without any extra) additions, or with extra vegetables (cucumber, tomatoes, olives and mint). From my last visit, i recall these prices: 2.50 CAD for a thyme mankoushi, 3.50 CAD for cheese mankoushi, 1.50 for four extra vegetables per mankoushi. Prices are discounted if you buy 6 or 12. Parking is small but never been an issue to readily find a spot in front of the store. No toilets. To my knowledge, there is no obvious access to wheelchairs in front of the store but maybe somewhere else on the same sidewalk. If you find this review helpful please don't forget to like it. Enjoy...
