It saddens me to write this but I can see others has issues and if no one speaks, nothing changes.
As a salon, it's pleasant enough (space, music) and were it not for what's to follow, I'd have said the ambiance was as well. (Note that I didn't have dealings with ALL the staff, probably only the nicest -Yumi- and the worst - Kelly- I'm saying this really hoping there can't be worse). Now, about price: I don't know if it's the salon as a whole, of just the one hairdresser, but it's a bit pricey to start with; but then things get nonchalantly added along the way, which I found out the hard way at the register. The price far exceeded that of the internet appointment, on which I had put a deposit and should be viewed as a contract. BEWARE.
I accepted this on the first visit; they first see your hair... OK... But there is NO excuse to do this to a returning customer. Things got explained away like "you hair is long," "your hair has damage" so I HAD to use more this" or "something on top of that", the state of my hair is previous knowledge, as only Kelly did my hair! At ANY RATE, when you're going to charge someone, you tell them BEFORE you do! It's not only good business but basic decency! I had budgeted (even the tip, which is cash only (huh?) while you can pay everything else by card) only to end up short and be treated as some cheap deadbeat, humiliated into begging for forgiveness?
if only it stopped at pricing: ho no, there's far worse.
I had a few appointments with Kelly, she is a colorist and was assigned to me at first, and did good job despite the attitude, then I guessed she was the one who knew my hair... Until she didn't, or just CARED SO LITTLE that the result went from good to terrible. A couple times I CRIED as she was pulling my hair after washing; but she was to involved chit-chatting with another worker to even notice, nevermind stop to see what was wrong..
I am very shy and easily intimidated, which she took advantage of. One day, mid-appointment, she announces "this is running long so I won't have time to finish you": I have another client" I let out a "Ho f__K. this can't be?", my head under running water and shocked. SHE went BALLISTIC on ME! "No one EVER talks to me this way", going on about my language, and here am I, trying to appease HER bad temper (It's just a word, please don't think it was aimed at you, etc). Fortunately YUMI took over. But can YOU imagine being suddenly "dropped" while your head is in the sink? The lack of respect was REALLY piling up! And it would continue.
By now you must really think I'm a "wet rag" or... an idiot... I'll clarify: I'm autistic, and change, when it comes to people, may be more difficult than "the devil you know", so I endured for the results. But I said that she knew my hair...until she didn't.Well...
Take a look at the pics. The aftermath of my last visit was a disaster. Look at the 2 colors! (I'm holding a piece or lower hair next to my roots). My roots were an ENTIRELY different color than the rest! Now add to this that all the rest you'd think SHE'D owe ME, when in fact this was the most overcharge I had to pay EVER! She psychically hurt me, verbally and emotionally abused me, , who does that! She has NO DECENCY and is UNTRUSTWORTHY.
The last straw was that when I tried to take an appointment later she could not face her mistakes and... blamed them on me? She asked me to pass by the salon before booking, but once I was there she SCREAMED at me that this kept her from working. She had given me her number and told me to text her next but ghosted me (not before lying and saying she didn't work there anymore!) . She didn't return calls left at the salon; in fact, no one else did (I was now opened to another colorist) . Worse: they locked me from being able to book online appointments. I had to pay a lot to correct the bad color job on that pic, elsewhere; but it's the best ever now.
AVOID THE PLACE: it's a coin toss what you'll...

Also, the owner said I was rude to write this review. I am upset and rightfully so. Thanks for ripping me off. I’ll write reviews if I want to, as is my right.
I am absolutely crushed with what they did to my hair. The first picture is what my hair looked like before. I went in for a root smudge and a toner to get my ends to a dark blonde color. I put an image below to show what I asked for.
After 120$ and an hour, what I got was copper hair. My hair was light blonde to begin with so I had a blank canvas for it to work. They kept saying “I don’t know how this happened” - which proves the point they have no idea what they were doing. Why would I go to a professional then? Why did I pay an outrageous price for a root smudge and a toner, only for it to be a different color than what I asked for.
She tried to fix it for free, but to no avail. Now I will be spending the next months color correcting my hair and paying even more money to fix this mess. My hair was pretty damaged and dry to begin with which is why I decided to spend so much on it by going to a “professional”…
I have a concert in three days that I’ve been looking forward to see for YEARS and now my photos are going to be ruined.
DONT go to this place unless you’re willing to gamble on what you end up getting. Completely unprofessional and ridiculous. The stylists name was Kelly. You’ve...
Read moreI question the honesty & integrity of this salon. I booked online for a service, that I did not end up receiving after being advised not to by the stylist. However, when I came to pay the invoice (which I received via email after I already left) was still for the service that I booked online. I called back after seeing this to understand the breakdown and was told someone would call me back. After not hearing back for 3 hours, I called again for clarification. I only received a haircut (more of a trim actually, and not even a blow-dry) and was charged $150 (not including tip).. I was told it was because I got a mask (which I wasn't advised beforehand what the charges for this are) and because they used product in my hair to diffuse (mousse & hair spray) and a bunch of justifications that did not make sense.. I asked for a new invoice to be sent to me to explain this breakdown, and I was just told that "it's the same". When I asked how much I would pay if I came back for a haircut, I was told it would be less ... It's hard to trust and recommend a salon that appears to charge depending on the mood and a price list that is clearly outdated and **very subject to change (Long haircut&blow-dry= $75),...
