Cineplex Cinemas New Glasgow — Local services in New Glasgow

I am thirty-eight years old and have been going to this theatre for most of my life. It was a disappointment and an inconvienence when showtimes were removed from the sign board on East River road. I tried to use the website and the app to keep abreast of what was playing and when, but it was very difficult to navigate and unintuitive. I am someone who successfully works in tech trades and graphic design, so if it's not eady for me, how does your average person fair? Now the movie posters are removed from the outside of the building. There are no titles or showtimes physically posted anywhere on the property aside from inside the building. This is short sighted, inconvienent and dare I say intentionally exclusive of any customer who isn't tech savvy or carrying a smart device. The cost associated with physical signage can't possibly out-weight the lost revenue from alienated or un-enticed customers. Actually a decent number of screens for a small community movie theatre, which makes it that much more perplexing that they don’t bring in big movies that people actually want to see. I was surprised to find they aren’t showing Sofia Coppola’s “Priscilla” despite everyone I know wanting to see it and there being tons of hype. It will likely be nominated for academy awards. They failed to show multiple movies which will be nominated for best picture, yet they bring in every comedy or horror with a 50% rotten tomatoes score which no one cares about and only sees because there are no other options. Always understaffed, never clean, cinemas are dingy.. I could go on and on. This is a disgusting establishment and I praise the workers who actually stick around because I know I wouldn’t. The massive fridge in the hallway that’s been there for weeks really ties the unkept and underfunded aesthetic alive.
