Eastside Family Restaurant — Restaurant in New Glasgow

Two reviews for different times Update Jan 28 2025 Today stopped by and asked for a burger and coffee. Service was quick and burger so delicious. Coffee also great. Staff seemed to have fun and seemed to enjoy their work place . I have only recently tried the hamburger and now it’s my favourite meal. Rachel was my server and she like the others are very nice and friendly. Will be back

Oct 18 2024 came for liver and bacon.,the very best, done as I asked and the carrots and peas were done perfectly. I love this place as it is so homey. Server was Samantha and she was friendly and attentive. I also indulged in butterscotch pie. Again delicious. For sure will be back.

First time visiting this place as I’m visiting with family here. Came highly recommended and I can see why. Had breakfast and waitress was fantastic and I have not seen prices so good in years. Next time here I will stop in again. Food so great 😀

My sister is visiting and we went here. Our first server gave us drinks and a menu then we didn’t see her again. Finally we stopped another server and she took our order. Well after we were eating the other server said oh you’re getting served? But having said that, the food was hot and tasty. My sister has chicken and sweet potato fries. I had breakfast. We had cake and jello for dessert. Super friendly server , she was called in on her off day and stayed longer than her shift. I will certainly come back for the food and service. Her name...

This restaurant was above and beyond the best place ever!!! Very cheap food!!! It was delicious!! And oh sooooo yummy!!! I got 2 piece fish and chips, and it came with yummy tartar sauce and lemons and delicious side of coleslaw! Yum yum!! The fries were perfectly cooked with that excellent golden colour and to be honest... I usually order gravy, but it never occurred to me!!! So that's saying a lot! For my 2 pieces and fries.... it cost less than $11!!!!! That's amazing!!!

Lol my son ordered one piece and fries and he ate all of his fries... mommy took his piece of fish home! Yummy treat for later! My son put lots of ketchup on the side and pepper for his tastes lol.... he's quite good at adding pepper to anything he eats lol (he's 4!! Lol) his only cost $6.29!!!! That's amazing!!!!! We are used to paying Dartmouth prices and New Glasgow made it so much better!! Lol

This little restaurant had some of the best prices I've seen, which had me suspicious from the start. Several of their offerings had the choice of "large" or small," which is probably what I liked most about this place. I ordered the chicken and ribs with a baked potato and "vegetables." The ribs have to be the worst I have ever paid for, but the piece of chicken was amazing. The baked potato was great, but the vegetables were canned peas and over cooked carrots; I like these things, but I found it a little surprising for a restaurant offering. My husband ordered the seafood platter and the fish was undercooked (NOT raw), the scallops were passable, and the clam strips (which were heavily battered and fried) were slightly overdone. The service was good, the prices were good, but there is zero ambiance.

Next time we will wait for Acropole Pizza to open, that's why we stopped in...
