Two of our daughters attend Rainforest and we absolutely love the centre. It gives our daughters who are 10 months apart their own freedom to be who they are but still come together at meal times and know that they have each other close. Kate has put together interesting curriculum that the kids do monthly and we often find ourselves adding days to the girls schedule so they can attend on day they are not supposed to go. They are working on lots of different materials that I think are important to learn about in life. The other thing I love is that they do an hour a day outside rain or shine. The kids need it. My third child is currently attending rainforest preschool in North van. My first and second child also went before her. As a stay at home mom, I was very anxious about sending my child off to school. It was a first group experience for all my kids, and they have absolutely flourished and thrived. I completely give all the credit to the staff at rainforest for treating the children at their school like they are their own. The love, guidance, playfulness and learning that happens makes my heart so full and I find myself recommending rainforest to everyone that has a toddler! I am so glad rainforest is available to us in our neighbourhood. I didn’t know about it until I searched for a preschool nearby. The schedule is perfect with flexibility to accommodate your schedule. Full days or half days and part time or full time in both rooms. My son loves it here and had made many friends. He comes home talking about what he learnt, whether it be history or the alphabet, I was impressed. The program has structure with nice set ups for playing and learning.
