I come here pretty often and would consider myself a regular. I’ve always loved this location and never had an issue until today (09/21/2020). We placed an order over the phone for pick up for three of us.
After getting home we discovered that half the order was missing. So we contact the restaurant to get the order sorted out, and they were great about it at first. They offered to bring the order out to us (Which we said no we’ll come pick it up). We requested that the whole order be made from scratch and they were happy to do that because of how much time had past.
Upon returning the manager gave us a bag which we assumed was the fresh order, and a gift card for $20 which was a nice gesture. Of course we get back to the car and double check the order this time. To our surprise it was not a fresh order it was the second part of our original order that had been sitting under the heat lamp for almost an hour. At this point were pretty disappointed.
Up to now, we were quite friendly and understanding of the situation. Mistakes happen. We go back in, and insist that they make the whole order fresh, to which they begrudgingly complied after questioning why the quality of the food wasn’t good enough and that they “gave us a $20 gift card and we should be happy”. Well over an hour and 30 minutes had past at this point.
To our surprise after receiving a 3rd bag of food, we discovered it was the original order in a new bag, the food was absolutely disgusting as it had been sitting under the heat lamp the entire time.
At this point we gave up and just went home. We didn’t not want a $20 gift on $70 worth of food, what we did want was our food to be made fresh the first time, and for the staff to own up to their mistake, drop the attitude toward their customers and make the situation right which they did not do, now we have a $20 gift card and no intention of returning.
This was a super disappointing experience when all they need to do was make the order fresh, not hide it in a new bag. I would also like to add that the service staff were all friendly and professional, it was the night manager that we had problems with. She was the one that was unprofessional and rude, and she is the reason we will not be returning to...
Read moreTired of having food in restaurants and receiving sub standard service and food quantity, hence writing this review. Had dinner at Browns Upper Lonsdale on Saturday night. Calamari was less than before (quantity). Burger was ok, but not great, and by end of finishing it, everything looked mushy, including the patty, and falling apart. I also ordered a salad, which the waitress forgot to bring forks, so I basically ate it after finishing my burger! I also ordered a Diet Coke in the beginning but she forgot to bring that either. With excessive cost of living these days, when one is trying to treat himself with one night out dinner, this was just not OK, considering I spent almost $100 on a burger+2 beers+ a salad+ yam. I paid 15% tip, which I think was more than generous considering how things went, and the girl who got my money (different than the waitress) seemed not impressed. These businesses should not take customers for granted. I realize it’s a tiring job, like many others, and staff my wear down by end of their shifts. But if you do something, do it right. Funny that I had dinner around July at this location, and I had a good service from the waiter (a guy) and food was decent. I sent a direct message to their management to compliment him and the experience, but they did not bother to write back and thank for my feedback. I doubt I will dine here again for quite sometime, too bad, since it’s a close location to my...
Read morefirst time ever writing a public review because the chef/kitchen was truly just that bad. i ordered a burger, with just cheese and bacon. i was asked to clarify ("no lettuce? no tomato? no sauce? just cheese and bacon?") which is completely understandable.
the first burger that came out had no cheese and was smothered in sauce. i asked to send it back, the waitress was very helpful and asked me to clarify again, so i did. bacon and cheese, thats all.
second burger comes out and i noticed this one didn't have cheese either. then i realized, the chef had just taken a knife and scraped off the sauce from the first burger and put it on a new bun. i let the waitress know and had it sent back.
this happened two more times until the burger was finally made correctly, at which time the rest of my table was already done eating, and the burger looked like it was chopped into separate bits then put on the bun.
i just want to know, how does one mess up that many times on such a simple order? with just two ingredients? the restaurant was not super busy, plenty of empty tables, so i don't believe this was a matter of rushing the order. it just all felt ridiculous.
overall, very frustrating and disappointing experience. the wait staff was understanding and comped the burger, but the manager did not apologize and seemed to be trying to ignore our table. we will not...
