Can't speak on the other ones, but the luxe theatre is great. Better than watching at home, even, I'd say. The setup is well thought out, you can see the full screen (huge btw), no ones silhouette will block your vision (unless you sit behind someone thats 7ft or something lol). You have plenty of space to store your snacks, bags, coats, etc. The chairs are in sets of 2, so not ideal for uneven numbered groups, sadly. But no more must you deal with the post-movie butt pains of the past! The chairs are very adjustable and even have a heating option! Movie volume is pretty obnoxious, won't lie, but I get that not everyone can hear. So if you have sensitive ears like myself I'd say bring some earplugs to reduce the damage.
Concession is sweet, too. You can even get beer, if you want! It's self serve, so no lineup to order and pay, but you still have to wait for your order to be ready. Those workers are busy bees, though! Real fast. Some have said they dislike the hoard of people waiting for their order number to be called, but I think the severity of that problem truly depends on how busy it is.
My only drawback on concession was that after the movie I wanted to get some Ms. Fields cookies to-go, but they didn't have any left and they were slower since not as many people were ordering anymore. Which sucks because they're the only folks who serve Ms. Fields cookies in Windsor anymore. I am glad we have someone here who serves them at all, though! Never stop serving them, Landmark! Love y'all for that!
Never thought I'd include this in a review, but. Bathrooms. Bathrooms, unlike the theatre, were not well thought through. I understand and fully support ungendering public bathrooms! 100%! But how they went about it wasn't a good move. The side of the theatre where the luxe and laser theatres are has a hallway with about 6 or so doors, all with their own private one-room nongendered bathroom behind them. Only one of these bathrooms is handicap accessible. The problem here, is that the numbers are NOT balanced. I don't know how many people the luxe and laser theatre can hold in total when both are sold out, but if I had to guess I'd say atleast 100+. This causes 2 problems: the obvious, not being enough bathrooms for all those people. This problem causes another, which is that, due to the lack other options, people who don't need the wheelchair accessible bathroom will use it anyway because they have no other option. Under most circumstances, this is fine, but the inevitable day where a wheelchair user has to wait for an able-bodied person to finish taking a fat dump because of this lack of options, that's gonna be a huge problem. I'd also assume (assuming, haven't been in there myself) that the accessible one is also the only one with a baby changing table. Because the normal ones don't have those. This is a problem as well. The baby changing table issue is a pretty simple fix, just put one in all the bathrooms, but as for the amount of bathrooms, that's gonna be a trickier problem to solve. But, without a doubt, it needs to be solved. There may be more bathrooms down the opposite hallway with the other theatres, idk. But it's not very luxe to have to play "which door do I stand in front of that will open the fastest?" And the way it is you can't even really make a line, it's just whoever gets there fastest.
When I went the inadequate number of bathrooms wasn't as big of a problem as it could've been on a busier day (thankfully), so overall I had a good experience. But all this has been my 10 cents for those who want to go, and for those who run the place and want tips for improvement. I hope this helped all. And I hope there shall be more bathrooms and Ms. Fields cookies in the...
Read moreI love what they did , with this space Thank you Landmark for buying and taking over the old silver city in Windsor, I’m glad they didn’t tear down the building as originally planned. I love that you can purchase your tickets online and reserve your seats, we were in the Luxe theatre. The reclining chairs are so comfy you can adjust them however you’d like, they also have a heating option. I also like that this theatre in 18+, no more screaming or crying babies. I also love the kiosks you can order and pay for your snacks, then you are given a number to be called by. Gone are the days you end up behind someone who has no clue what they want. This definitely speeds things up. They have all kinds of different food/snacks. You can even get beer or wine (if you wish to). I was not down the other hall on the other side so I can only speak to the side with the Luxe theatre. I love that they have made this a more adult experience, like a date night, with your bestie or your 18+ kid. I’m not sure if they are still constructing things or if it’s 100% done yet. I know outside the luxe theatre there are individual washrooms for make/female. It’s nice to have your own personal washroom with sink and everything. My only concern is if you went on a very busy night (which we didn’t) there wouldn’t be enough washrooms for everyone to use before and after the show. I really loved my experience I went to see Wicked Thursday night with my 18yr old baby. We enjoyed the movie and it was so comfy. Gone are the days of your butt hurting because the movie was 2+hrs long. Honestly I haven’t been out to a movie in a long time maybe 6yrs? But I definitely enjoyed myself and can’t wait to see Wicked 2 when it comes out. There are certain movies that are best seen in a theatre. Thanks Landmark Windsor, I’m so happy...
Read moreI love everything about this place. The fact that they have a theater that's plus 18, so it keeps out the kids is a total bonus, Yes the cost of the ticket is a bit more, but worth it.
In the regular theaters they have premiere, regular & cheaper seating ticket prices, with the premiere seating having a divider so when you're going out on a date night, you don't have to see the people sitting beside you, they also have little side tables, so it's like you're in your own little world!
I Their popcorn is so tasty & they have so many diet pop selections & flavors, it's ridiculous; unlike other places that only offer you diet, Coke or Diet Pepsi. They have DIET minute maid & Fanta flavours & then of course pepsi & coke! It's wonderful for someone who doesn't want all the sugar.
The seats recline, almost like you're in a bed & you can raise the headrest, so you can watch the movie in total comfort, grab a blanket & its like being at home. The premier seats also have heat in the back of the chair with a flick of a switch, which is really nice in the winter!
Even the regular seats have space between the double seats, so you're not sitting on top of your neighbors, which is a total bonus.
They also have kiosks when you walk in so that you can order your snacks without having to wait in line, it spits out a ticket that has an order # on it, which goes automatically to the popcorn station & you just go pick up your items when they call your number. You can also order from a live person if you wish, but when you're running late for your movie, not having to wait in line is a bonus!
They also have free refills if you're a premiere VIP member, so the monthly fee with a free ticket & discounts is worth it.
I love everything about...
