Matty Boy BBQ catered a special birthday for our family. They were exceptional. I was initially uncertain about whether to book, and had many questions for Matt, he answered them all with great patience, and efficiently and quickly, and was a true professional. I really enjoyed dealing with him, and felt confident as the date approached. I was not disappointed. Matty Boy BBQ was a HUGE hit with all the guests (of all ages!)

We chose Texan classics, and it was absolutely delicious. Each part of the menu was excellent in its own right. My favourites were the brisket, unforgettable, and the ranchero pinto beans, the ultimate comfort food, smoky and delicious!

Matt and Brian adapted to work in the relatively small space available, since the weather was not good enough to be outside. They quietly got on with it, and created a lovely set up, that just added to the warm, relaxed, fun atmosphere we were going for. They answered questions from the guests, with knowledge and evident passion for their craft. They were a joy to deal with all round.

An absolutely unforgettable experience having Matty Boy BBQ cater for us, that made our party a once-in-a-lifetime, thoroughly joyful event. Please do yourself a favour and book Matty Boy BBQ, your belly and your guests will be thankful...

This would be a 5 star review for the food alone, but having Matt cater for you is about more than just the incredible food - it's an event. Matt catered my Dad's 70th birthday party. It was an all day (and night) event. The Brisket went on the massive commercial smoker in the middle of the night and Matt Stoked the fire for 15 hours non-stop, all while situated in my parent's backyard. Matt was fun to chat with (especially if you want to learn more about the art of Central Texas BBQ) and 100% professional. We chose brisket, ribs, and sausage for our menu...they were all delicious. O M G! Words cannot describe the quality and taste of this BBQ! Matt recently catered our backyard wedding (we did picked up and re-heated for our buffet)…we got soooo many compliments on the quality of the food!..the brisket..the ribs..the beans..potato salad, coleslaw..everything seasoned and flavoured to perfection!!!!!

Matt was a pleasure to work with, he was flexible to work with, if i could give this a superstar rating I would! We have left overs and the fam enjoyed more the next day..and we have frozen and reheated this food all week and its still just as good as the day we bought it!

I cannot wait to see where Matt takes his business, we are customers for life, bonus that we drive through the PEC and kingston on the regular!
