I have never had better experiences than the ones I’ve had at Farrah Fine Jewellers in Kanata. I brought in about 10 pieces of silver jewellery that were tarnished and needing intense polishing and they came back bright, shiny and beautiful. I also brought in a permanent white gold bracelet which was in great need of rhodium plating and sizing. Farrah cut it off for me and had it redone with a clasp so I could take it on and off as I wished. I also brought in an heirloom ID bracelet that was broken, she had it polished and put on a beautiful paperclip chain and now it fits my wrist perfectly and looks amazing since the chain actually fits the tag appropriately. And finally I brought in an heirloom engagement ring from my great grandmother. Farrah suggested to extend the longevity of it that it needed a new band but I was concerned about loosing the details on the upper band. Her team cut it perfectly leaving those details intact, repaired the claws, created a new thicker band that fits me perfectly and now the ring looks and feels as good as new. And finally, someday she has offered to turn an existing ring I had made a few years ago into my perfect engagement ring. Overall, Farrah is customer service-oriented, very warm and kind staff, quality products and sourcing.

I visited multiple jewelry stores for an engagement ring for my beautiful fiancé, most of which seemed pushy, throwing stats about getting the larger diamond or the best cut solely to make a larger sale, and tried to upsell other stuff to me.

At Farrah, they were different. They were the first business that I felt helped me navigate this journey as someone that was just familiarizing myself with fine jewelry.

The associate actively dissuaded me from buying the wedding band, and explained that it's important to let my fiancé choose it. They still explained the importance of a good cut and clarity, but were not pushy in any way. These two things demonstrated to me that they value their customers, rather than squeeze to make the biggest one-off sale. I like that they are family-run too. We ended up getting the matching wedding band from Farrah later on too, together. My fiancé is loving the quality care from them (and complimentary ring cleanings).

Also important to mention - the diamonds (the ones I saw) are ethically sourced in Canada and Europe which was important to me.
