It's a great addition to the community and supports the neighbouring Brian Kilrea (formerly Canterbury arena). The ice surface is a little small and the ice is ok, but then again it is an outdoor arena. The city spent a lot of money on it. I think it would have been better to have spent a little more money on it and have the arena fully enclosed, that way there would be more ice in a properly controlled environment available all year round for the community. Also want to say thanks to Jim Tubman Chevrolet Sens for their support

There's the Blue Boi benches in the back of the rink that are guuuudddd 4 sk9. We slip N slide N I tried to tre flip a lip gap but NO DICE. There were mad chill basketball homies killing it on the court, and it was hype af. I will tell you more another day, as this review has come to an end SKATEBOARDING

Free skates most afternoons and the rink is reasonably busy after schools and on weekends. Neighborhood rink is well policed and filled with families. Big parking lot, but most people are from the surrounding neighborhood. Pick up games most nights are welcoming to new players.

The rink is great for skating. I've brought my girls here many times. There's always a spot for me sit and watch them since I can't skate! I also love that it's run walking distance and that it's consistently used by the Canterbury afterschool program.

I wish the space was used as a market during the summer months as we already have a basketball court within a 2-3 minute walk...

Horrible COVID protocols in place. Went there today, Dec 30, with the family for a skate. While they note that masks are required, saw many people without. They have 30 min sessions for skating with no reservations. So once you've got your skates on, you then have to wait all crammed together like sausages to get on the ice. Felt...
