PLEASE READ BEFORE COMING TO THIS RESTAURANT!!!!
I have never had an issue with any restaurant in my LIFE but today was one of the most upsetting experiences I have ever had. I went to the Boston pizza on 2980 Conroy road ( this location) to watch the Stanley cup game, we were seated and at first we had the manager as our server. We ordered and everything seemed fine, unit our food came out, our food was served at different times, 4 out of the 6 people there got their food we ordered around 9:00pm at 9:20pm. Our last two people were waiting for their food until 10:15pm they ordered the game time pizza, the game was almost over by this point. The manager came around and gave us two coupons for a different meal for another time, and left. When it become time to pay our bills we now had a new server who re took all of our orders, we asked if the ONE pizza that had been served 1h and 15 mins late could be compincated, and after that we had three other people hands us new bills, not with the correct food/drinks on them. When the manager finally came around again at 11:10pm I said I felt it was insulting to only take 7 dollars off the pizza, where he then started to become agressive. At this point I asked him to just get out bills so we can pay and said he refused to lower the price for the pizza any further. We asked if we could use the coupon he gave us an hour prior for one of our individual pizzas sizes as it was what the coupon was for, and he took the coupon and ripped it up in our faces. When he came back he got even more aggressive, he proceeded to called me a B, and said if this is the game I wanted to play he’ll call the cops if we refuse to pay (which we never refused ONCE) he became more aggressive and I then proceeded to record where he said “it is lovey to call customers Bs” he had his fingers in my face and was leaning over our table to yell at us and threaten us, I asked him over 5 times to please step away form me and he refused and continued. Not to mention anytime I tried to explain what we were trying to communicate he would cut me off. I was very shaken up by all of this, we were seated at 8:15 and did not leave the restaurant until 11:40. I have most of the interaction recorded on video for evidence and I am shocked that the owner of this specific establishment gave us the same respect as their verbally assaultive manager. I understand it can be stressful in the fast food industry but there is a correct way to handle any sort of customer interaction or situation. And this was truly upsetting. After reading other reviews it’s now apparent why he told me to “leave a review” and “see if he cares” I am still shaking over this and feel this should be addressed with the hiring team in being a bit more thurrow with how employees are trained for customer...
Read moreMy family are longtime fans of the Orleans BP on Innes Rd, and we love it there - great food, great service, great decor, and good separation of tables and sound management. I've been to the one on St Laurent Blvd and it was a pleasure too. THIS location on Conroy however is nothing like that, and it's a blight on the chain's image. The service was SLOWWWWWW, and we rarely saw our server (she didn't seem to be waiting on any other tables either, and would just disappear into the back for long periods). 3 times in the first 20 minutes another server said to us "Sorry, your server will be right with you". Staff making apologies for other staff should've been a red flag to just get up and leave, but after already having to leave another restaurant because of no tables we just wanted to eat already. The bench backs of the booths are low, so you can hear conversations on each side of your table (the place sounds like a school cafeteria). Speaking of hearing, there are some very aggressive and angry staff in the open kitchen, and twice my 4 year-old got startled because some guy went off on somebody and yelled in the food prep area. The food was mediocre, with our starter nachos coming out half an hour after we ordered them. There was barely any cheese on them, and the little there was wasn't really melted, just stuck to them and hard. When we were done the empty plates sat so long on our table that the host (I think that's who she was) came by to take our plates and asked if we wanted our bill. Our main course still hadn't come yet, but she'd seen us sitting there for so long that she'd thought we were done our whole meal! When the mains finally did come my pasta was lukewarm and my wife's pizza was overcooked and way too brown by BP standards. At the other locations they serve steamed vegetables like carrots and broccoli with the kids meal, while at this one my daughter got 6 little fragments of sliced raw cucumber with the skin still on, layered at the bottom of a little bowl. While we were finishing up, a lady at the table beside ours was complaining to the server that the pizza she'd just been served was cold. Not just warm but room temperature cold. As microwaving it would've made it soggy they just offered her 50% off to get her to live with it. My final take from what I saw was that the staff are just way too slack, and the food is just sitting way too long waiting for pickup by/in the kitchen. This location and the staff in it need to get it together for it to survive, because BP is usually an awesome chain but something is REALLY wrong here. Save yourself some trouble, and avoid this location until they either sort themselves out or shut...
Read moreSo this isn't my first time at a BP, buts it's only my second time at this location. I'm usually a Barrhaven Boston Pizza customer(and love it), but we were in the area, so we thought what the heck! We walked in and were immediately greeted and seated near the TVs because we wanted to watch a specific soccer game. They didn't have the channel that played the game, so the waitress gave us the wifi password(very kind of her). She promptly brought us drinks, and took our order. We ordered a started, one of their new fire grilled pizzas and the Big Dipper. Our starter came quick and was hot. The food came and seemed to be okay. It really wasn't until my husband was two slices into his pizza that he offered me a piece and I looked at it and noticed that it wasn't the right pizza!! The waitress came at that moment to ask if everything was alright, and I pointed out that the pizza was wrong. She checked what was punched in and she had punched in the correct order so it was the kitchen staff who messed up. At this point we're like ok.. he's eaten a bit out of it so we'll deal with it I guess. The waitress said she was going to take the plate to the kitchen staff and manager and point it out. She came back a couple minutes later with the plate and said she talked to her manager and he'll take care of it. We get our bill, and guess what? $1.95 off. I asked the waitress what had happened with the kitchen staff? I was just curious .. she looked at the receipt and was shocked. She said she talked to the manager about it and thought he was going to take care of it. She was just as annoyed as us. I just mentioned that If someone was allergic to something and this happened they'd be in a lot of trouble-- now my husband's feeling sick. She didn't know what to do- she apologized several times and was noticeabley annoyed. Never going here again! The waitress was wonderful but that manager was just ridiculous .. kept giving us the oddest of looks every time he passed us after the waitress pointed out the mistake. I guess I'll just stick to the Barrhaven location, because management here just doesn't know what customer service is. I'm not cheap-- but it's the principle. It's very risky letting this stuff slide. Meh.. what am I...
