I'm new to this part of town and have been shopping at this location for several months and everything had been going great. The staff I've encountered have all been very helpful and friendly, until this morning. It was just after 830am, and I was ready to check out, but there were no open cashes, only self checkout, which I refuse to use. I am not a Metro employee, so I'm not doing their job and saving them money, while also leading to decreased jobs. I asked the customer service woman about a cash amd she said there aren't any open, only self checkout. I clearly said I wasnt interested in checking myself out, I wanted a cash. She offered to help with self checkout, and again, I said I wasn't interested in self checkout, I don't work here. The customer service woman was definitely getting annoyed, and wasn't even trying to hide it. She never apologized for the inconvenience, but called a manager to the counter and walked away. It took several minutes, but eventually Jodi over. The customer service woman was standing over by the self checkouts, but kept shouting things to interject into my conversation with Jodi, it was rude and unprofessional. She eventually came closer to the customer service counter, and continued to argue with me while I was trying to talk to Jodi. I was so shocked at this incredibly rude behavior, and she had no name tag on, so I asked her what her name is. That made her even angrier, she scoffed at me a few times, then walked away, refusing to tell me her name. Clearly she knew she had crossed the line, or she wouldn't have been worried about sharing that information. Jodi was doing the best she could, but she very much seemed afraid of the woman, because she mouthed to me that the woman's name is Tracey. It was clear she didn't want Tracey to know she shared that information with me. Jodi said that next time, I can just ask for a cash to be open and customer service will call someone over. I explained that's exactly what I did, but Tracey never offered that. Jodi did her best and I'm thankful for that, but she's clearly afraid of Tracey. All she had to do was say, 'Thanks Tracey, I've got this.' Instead, she let Tracey carry on, after mouthing her name to me, and failing to apologize for her behavior or saying this isn't their standard and she would followup. It's one thing to have an angry, disgruntled employee on your staff, but to have her running the customer service, I'm flabbergasted. What an awful experience...
Read moreBeing accused of being a thief without manager looking at all of video, me walking in with bag of cat food (bought elsewhere), not stealing cheaper brand,, not even going to aisle of cat food, but took word of attendant who supposedly couldnt stop me because he was busy with other patrons, looking only at video where I pick up MY bag of cat food and walk out. My "mug" shot in office for 18 days!! When I came back to prove my purchase from pet store of August 11th, apologies from manager who looked and saw me on video walking in with bag of cat food!! It's fine to apologize, but the whole experience left a bitter taste in my mouth. Of course I wont go back. Plus too much plastic used on fruits and veggies (even when locally in season) and being told Ontario peaches are in the back while U.S. peaches are being sold. Freshness of many items leaves a lot to be desired. And I wont even mention high prices! If zero star was an option, that would have...
Read moreHow can I begin to even describe my experience at Greenbank Metro? I was firmly handling the aubergines when I looked up and laid eyes upon tastiest treat over in the bakery. Watching Patrick the Baker, I felt a stirring in me as powerful as the automatic mixer he was so deftly operating, one that I haven’t felt since my beloved husband Alonzo passed away under mysterious circumstances. At that moment, I felt a craving for something sweet and fresh and I knew Metro Bakery could supply it. Patrick the Baker serviced me by handing me a dozen baked Goods while I looked into those dazzling blue eyes, reminiscent of the pool in which my dear Alonzo drowned in. I felt myself drowning at that moment too. I went home and devoured those baked Goods. I love Metro Greenbank and Metro Greenbank Bakery and will most...
