Showed up at 6pm on Wednesday Feb 4th 2015. Doors were locked. Google maps says it's open till 8pm the store says it's open till 6pm. Tried to get the attention of the workers and they ignored me. Tried calling their store Number and got a busy signal even though no one was visibly on the phone in the store. Waited till the workers got to the front door. They looked at me and then turned their backs on me till I would leave.
I tapped the window and held up my phone to point at the store hours online . cus they visibly looked like they didn't want to open the door while in as there. The lady shrugged and said it wasn't their problem and They don't deal with the website, through the crack in the door. Looked like she really didn't give a crap and turned to keep talking to the other male employee. . I yell back through the crack in the door that I own my business and that updating this information is very easy. It's rude to customers to give them false information. Especially when the employees turn away, don't want to engage the customer, and try to pretend they're not there.
Why the hell couldn't they have come out and finished locking the doors while talking to me. All of a sudden everyone who wants into the store at 6:01pm is a crook and is going to steal or hurt them? Yet at 5:59pm everyone is fine to walk through the door. **ing jackasses.
This is the 3rd time this has happened. Although it's the first time I've gotten out of my car and actually seen the store hours sign. This is why I stayed and wanted to talk to the employees. Chain of command as it were. Previously I thought maybe it was just slow and they closed for the day. Which any business will do to save money.
when people get treated like an invisible piece of crap when they are trying to make the employees aware of a big error in the essential Internet marketing world regarding their business..3 days out of the week the store closes 2 hrs earlier than what is posted online.
It makes you want to say screw it. Those Moody immature assholes can lose out on lots more business until they close the place and they lose their jobs. Maybe that's why the hours are cut down from 8pm to 6pm? Makes sense after my encounter with staff..
Is this why you can download games directly over Microsoft live? At this point I'd rather do that then go...
Read moreI pre-ordered something back in January, so 6 months ago. I paid for it in store so I wouldn't have to worry about it when it came in, the girl told me that I would be able to pick it up at the beginning of March, but they would call me first. Third week of March I call them wondering where my item was and they tell me they have no idea but they will call me when it comes in. Fast forward to today, June 5th and I receive a call from them around 3:30 pm saying my item has arrived but they are only holding it for 2 days otherwise it gets put back on the shelf. I was a bit shocked by this and I explained that on Friday I am leaving to go out of town for a few days and that I work past their closing times for the next three days and that I would have to pick it up next week. The guy on the phone put me on hold to ask someone if that was ok. He comes back on the line and tells me no that he can't hold my item for me. I tell him but I've already paid for it and I've been waiting 6 months it, so why would they put it on the shelf when It's already bought and paid for? He tells me store policy sorry. So I have to go all the way down to this store and put all of the things I was doing on hold because they are only open till 6 to pick up this item that was suppose to be here 3 months ago. I get there and it was the wrong item that was ordered but good news they have the one I want but It's two dollars more. Like really? So fine I pay the extra two dollars. I explain how I'm a little upset by this whole thing because I had to put a lot of stuff on hold to just make it down to the store before closing because they couldn't hold something I paid for for more then 2 days after waiting 6 months. Then the guy goes well why didn't you come in when it first got here 2 weeks ago? Now I'm really upset because I received no phone call at all and I tell him this. He goes oh sorry we are normally pretty good at that. So this whole time this whole situation could have been avoided if someone had actually called me 2 weeks ago. But no one seemed to care that I was put out of time and money for their error. Never ever going to this place again . Really poorly run and zero customer...
Read moreprior to retail, i would always shop online for anything video game related, as it is quick and effortless. my purchases would mainly consist of nintendo games and merchandise (my ps5 is collecting dust throughout the past couple years). that would normally follow through until i decided to pre-order the nintendo switch 2 through gamestop, as i wanted my hands on the console as soon as possible (i ended up being the first in line to get it on release day [yippee!]). from there i was met with very welcoming staff- and their amazing service helped me realize how fulfilling it actually is to get my items from a retail store, rather than through online at home. it feels very authentic and i have no one else to thank for but the hardworking employees at this location.
most of my purchases and pre-orders since then were handled specifically by karla, the assistant manager. she would always greet us customers with a smile and provide assistance to any problem or question we would have while displaying very kindhearted and friendly behaviors. i'd say that in general, karla provides excellent service and she heavily contributes to this gamestop location being such a welcoming retail store.
it's honestly a huge shame that most physical nintendo games moving forward are presented with their terrible game key-card system, as if not for that i would definitely be coming to this store more often to pick up my games for my collection, rather than buying them digitally. besides that, i have no problems picking up my stuff from this location, as the staff are wonderful and deserve to be acknowledged. i look forward to making more transactions here...
