We ordered Duck Duo as starters, black sausage and lobster risotto with half tail and extra rice as main dishes. The Duck Duo was okay, but the risotto is absolutely AWFUL. When ordering I said twice and even confirmed I wanted the risotto with the extra half lobster tail. When the dish came, it literally has only two claws on it, and they looks like they have been in the fridge for a decade, literally turning white. I asked the waitress where’s the half tail, she said it’s mixed in the rice. So we went ahead to try the rice and it tastes just like milk powder with rice. We then went through the rice to check if the lobster meat exist and there’s NONE. Like literally NONE. Just rice, that’s all. We asked the manger what’s going on, first thing he said is did you asked for the extra lobster tail, I’m like I literally said twice to the waitress and even confirmed it. He then told us that lobster is RATHER EXPANSIVE MEAT. As if the extra 10 dollars we paid for the extra half lobster tail should just go to charity. At this time we are extremely disappointed so I told him I’ll pay for what we ate, which is the duck duo and we want to go to another restaurant. He brought me the bill, it has not only the duck duo but also the $6 EXTRA RICE. I asked why, manager said because we tried the lobster risotto. Like 12 dollars get you a whole bag of rice at Costco and he’s asking us to pay $6 for the extra rice that we had one bite each to make sure we’re not delusional for thinking a lobster risotto can be that bad. He even tried to tell us that his boss would ask us to pay for the black pudding I didn’t even touch, and he’s already doing us a big favor. Terrible experience, wouldn’t recommend to anyone.

Wondered upon this restaurant in my walk-through Old Quebec city. The food is delicious. I tried the small Appetizer seafood poutine. It’s small but Just enough and powerful and delicious!. I also tried the coconut shrimp which were delicious. I asked for the vegetables and the chef made up these beautiful Al dente not overcooked and soggy just nice and crisp vegetables that were very lightly done In an In a nice light butter sauce, toss a nice light butter and they were delicious. My server was Rosemary and she was very Attentive and friendly. And the manager Sundil was very friendly and we had a nice conversation and he also helped out. The food was delicious and I cannot recommend this restaurant enough. All my compliments to the chef, the food was delicious! I sat outside. It was very pleasurable evening on a swelling 35° day the sun was setting and it was nice with umbrellas in the shade from the sun. If you go to old Quebec city I definitely recommend this restaurant. There’s so many different things that you can try and if you do a little smorgasbord of this that you can do a little buffet of trying different things and sharing with your partners.! Oh, and the sangria is to die for!! And if you have a sweet tooth, I definitely recommend the maple syrup pie. I’ve never tried one before. It’s definitely decadent and you can share.

A bistro with an airy interior & nice sidewalk seating with French style ambiance attached to the Clarendon Hotel. Menu selection was nice & reasonably priced for the quality. Service wasn't bad although staff could be more attentive where it really matters (e.g. they will get you seated as soon as you arrive at the door, but then take their time or not care as much once you're seated). I noticed this with me as well as other customers seated around us & had the same concern. We ordered the salmon burger & seafood poutine. The "burger" wasn't really that, but more of a salmon fillet sandwiched between two slices of bread. The calamari that supposedly comes with (according to the menu) was literally one piece used as garnish. The seafood poutine was mostly potatoes & cheese curds with the tiniest amount of seafood (I was able to count 4 mini shrimps in the entire bowl for example & could barely see any of the shredded lobster or crab). Still the quality was good overall, despite coming off as a bit of a ripoff .This could be a nice restaurant if they could just fix these small (but important) details.

Unfortunately it is not possible to give a rating of zero but, based on my experience, if anywhere deserves such a rating it is this restaurant. We arrived at approximately 7.15pm and after looking at the menu ordered our food and drinks 5 minutes later. The waiter duly noted our order by writing it on his notepad and departed with this information the drinks arrived almost immediately. By 8.20pm our food had still not arrived. We asked the waiter who had taken our original order when our food would arrive. He returned from the kitchen after checking to inform us that we had not ordered any food!! This was something of a shock to us and we reminded him that he himself had written the order on his notepad and also brought our drinks previously. He simply shrugged his shoulders and sneeringy replied that he had forgotten to pass our order to the kitchen but he emphatically did not apologise for his error. In fact he seemed completely unconcerned by his error rather choosing to revel in our disappointment. Given his unhelpful response I asked to speak to someone more senior to convey our unhappiness and dissatisfaction. After doing this to little avail we lost all patience and left to seek food elsewhere. I can't remember any other comparable experiences and this was absolutely the worst service I have received or perhaps more accurately not received .

Whatever platitudes the restaurant may choose to post in response to this review they cannot mitigate my awful experience and I would never dream of visiting this venue again. You can easily find better service elsewhere in Quebec so my advice would be to...
