ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE EXPERIENCE - BE WARNED!!!
We sold some gold pieces to Oro Nineteen Jewellery on Saturday , June 28, and were promised payment on same day or Sunday at the latest. What followed was a frustrating and completely unprofessional runaround: ⢠âOur money transfer limit is reached!â ⢠âWe didnât say Sunday â we meant Monday!â ⢠âWe didnât say Monday â we meant Wednesday!!!!!!â ⢠âOur bank account was hacked!â ⢠âWe accidentally paid someone else with the same first name!â
It took 5 full days of repeated phone calls, follow-ups, and finally traveling back to the store in person just to get our payment. Not once did they take initiative to call us back, and not a single apology was offered.
Mr. Tehrani, in particular, was extremely unprofessional and dismissive. Instead of taking responsibility, he made a series of ridiculous excusesâone being that he had â35 contacts with the name Negarâ and sent the e-transfer to the wrong person! Is that really a customerâs problem?!!!
Mr. Tehrani showed no accountability or remorse. In fact, his attitude was outright disrespectful and arrogant. One of the most absurd things he said was:
â$2000 is nothing for me to ruin my reputation over.â
Well, if thatâs true, why not pay it on time? Why come up with excuse after excuse and change your story repeatedly? If $2000 really means nothing to you, then just pay it when you promised! Itâs not the amount â itâs the dishonesty and lack of integrity.
To be fair, Mrs. Mahboube was polite and tried to de-escalate the situation, but Mr. Tehraniâs attitude and behavior completely overshadowed any effort made.
Bottom Line: ⢠If youâre selling gold here, demand immediate payment or prepare for a long, stressful wait. ⢠Their politeness disappears once they owe you money. ⢠I will never return and will actively warn others to avoid this place.
This was by far the worst customer service Iâve experienced from any business in...
Read moreIt was my first and last time going to this jewelry store. I canât speak for buying, but if youâre planning to sell goldârun from this store.
I went there on Saturday to sell some gold. Hamid was very polite and friendly at first. He took the gold and said he couldnât pay me right away because he had reached his e-transfer limit. He gave me a receipt and promised to send the money on Monday morning.
Monday came and wentâno money. I called, and he said his colleague had gone downtown and he would send it Tuesday. Tuesday passedânothing. On Wednesday, he said his account had been hacked but promised payment by 5 PM. Of course, nothing came.
Then on Thursday (Today)he said he had sent the money to another customer with the same first name by mistake because he confused our last names. This, while he had been telling me for days that he was having e-transfer issues. And when I called again, he rudely told me to come to the store and get cash.
So I ended up chasing him for five days just to get paid for my gold, and each time he lied to me and gave a new excuse.
Honesty, integrity, and transparency are the foundation of any business , unfortunately, these are qualities this store...

My wife wanted a long box necklace last year and none of the three other jewelers I went to Richmond Hill were able to help, including the big one at Hillcrest Mall. Oro19 was able to get it on order in less than a week. Really good price and very knowledgeable and friendly customer service.
Then, when my wife broke her chain recently and tried to get it fixed by the jewelers at Hillcrest, they wanted to charge her way to much and needed to send it out somewhere to get the actual work done. It was going to take a couple weeks. Instead, I took it back to Oro19, and they gave me a quote that was almost 1/3rd of the one my wife got. Their jeweler is actually inhouse and the turnaround was just a couple days. I received another small discount on the repair when I went to pay because I was a returning customer.
I will be returning again to get a custom peice done. It will be modeled on something my wife saw overseas on Etsy. I'm looking...
