A lovely spot I was unaware of until a friend booked us for afternoon tea. We went on the right day because there was a special bit of "info-tainment". Two gentlemen were there to tell of some interesting history of the area and time, as well as sing some relevant songs from that period (one man was a guitarist), read an interesting poem about the spice route and how it was viewed as rather mystical back then, and then everyone joined in singing a song with them! The house itself is charming and full of rich historical info from way back when. So...
Read moreIt is an amazing place. There is so much interesting information about Richmond Hill. We attended Victorian tea party of 5 years old. Set up was bueitifull, view from windows calming. The only thing that I wasn't really liked was that it's not a drop of party. The place is small and parents stand and didn't really have a place for 2 hours. AFTERNOON TEA This was a nice setup. I loved the teacups. The hot chocolate was really impressive looking. The food was a two tier set of sandwiches, scones and cookies. The staff were also very friendly. I think you get what you paid for in that it's quite affordable but portions are small. I liked the Christmas Carol entertainment too.
I highly recommend trying their signature tea.
HERITGAGE CENTRE Small area but packs a lot of information about Richmond Hill in a presentable format though time lines...
