Surprised zero stars is not an option to pick on google reviews. I no longer feel comfortable shopping and even stepping foot into this Shoppers location. I was stalked and followed around the store by this one specific employee who wholeheartedly believes that I am suspicious. The slender Filipino woman with short black hair will get mad at me for the smallest of things and will go out of her way to try and catch me doing something illegal even though I have never done such. I am the only one who is targeted out of my group of friends and this is not the first time that this has happened. Prior to the last visit, I was paying at the self checkout when this lady leaves her area behind the counter to come and watch me pay for my items. There was a whole LINE of customers waiting to be served and yet this woman decided to stop helping them and come watch me at the self checkout. She did this multiple times. This place needs to get their priorities straight. The staff here love staring at a teenager use the self checkout normally, rather than help out customers waiting in line. I thought that this would be the end of this but of course it was not. Very recently I walked into this shoppers location and purchased my items at the self checkout. I put my items in my reusable bag with my receipt in there as well because I did not want to be accused of stealing and I knew it was a great possibility after my first bad experience here. After this, I met up with my friends in the store and they bought their items at the self checkout. This lady approaches me and asks, āWhat did you just put in your bag?ā in a very accusatory and aggressive way. I calmly replied and told her all of the items that I purchased were in my bag. She said, āOh,ā and then walked away from me. Even my friends were mad for me as this is unfortunately not the first time I had been targeted in this shoppers location. If given the choice I will always much rather shop on Amazon, Pricesmart, T&T, Walmart, or Sephora (a little pricey, but the remarkable customer service here makes it worth it). Today, was yet another disappointing experience shopping at this location. After running errands all day with my mother, we thought after a long time of avoiding this location we'd give it another chance, but sadly it was yet another disappointing and upsetting experience. After we found what we needed and were about to head over to the self-checkout, my mother noticed the lip liner pencils and attempted to figure out which ones were the shades of pink that she prefers, but it was next to impossible what with a lack of samples and the digitized images of the colors were less than helpful, and that's when we noticed that one was not shrink wrapped and assumed it was a sample, but after testing it out on our wrist to see the color, a female sales associate startled us from behind, without so much as a "Hello", "Please" or "Excuse Me". She not only approached us in quite a rude manner, but she was overly passive aggressive as she was rebuking us about the testers. She first scolded us while she was speaking to another customer, and then continued to scold us a 2nd time after she finished speaking to that other customer. Overall they have been very professional and reliable, in the past 2 years or so I have experienced the quality of service going downhill, for example, they will contact you even way before you need to refill your prescription, but on the other hand, they will not contact you even if your prescription is near completion!
And today, I had to contact them in person to see if my refill is ready ( the request for refill was put in more than a week ago, and no calls or emails was sent to keep me updated ) and they told me that the medication just got in! ( what a coincident if I had not gone into the shop in person! ), anyways, I also received very unprofessional and unfriendly service from "Desmond", he has no customer service skills at all, and when I approached him there was no greeting or eye contact, just went around to look for my medications and did not acknowledge if he has found it or not, another staff had to yell out that it will be ready in 10 mins ( which turn out to be 30 mins. later ) I understand that they have Trainees on duty, but I have observed "Desmond" had been on duty for a while and still did not pick up some basic customer skills! Also he did not verify my name and birth date, also did not go through details of the medication, I had to count and verify with him instead! Totally NOT responsible!!
