Cloverdale Fairgrounds — Local services in Surrey

We went to see the Great Canadian Circus. It was extremely hot and although, the weather is definitely not in their control, they were not prepared at all. The tent did not have adequate ventilation.

Other than that, the performances were great and they definitely know how to entertain the crowd. We fully support them and know how difficult the pandemic has been for the entertainment industry on a whole.

Seeing the performers risk their lives in beautifully choreographed routines is an experience that all of us should have and I sincerely hope they continue to perform for years to come.

Lumagica 2022 at the Cloverdale Fairgrounds was very underwhelming compared to the 2021 experience. Located in what is more or less the parking lot rather than around the track as it was previously. The displays themselves were decent but not very much so and there were less displays. There was less for concession. I was not impressed with the indoor displays either. We went here for the Noel festival Surrey. The road to get in was so clogged up and it took 40+ minutes longer to reach due to the left hand turn coming from north Surrey. The festival itself was ok but a bit expensive for the price. Luckily we got it for 20% off as a part of the opening weekend / Black Friday special. The light displays were a bit lacking outside and Lafarge Lake and Stanley Park definitely did it better. The inside was nice and cosy with some food and performances.
