I think this is my 4th time ordering, first couple were good, but im sad to say we got food poisoning tonight (Jan 1st 2017). I am guessing from the Mongolian Beef, or lemon chicken. But im guessing the beef since that's something we all ate. I usually only order vegitatrian dishes from this place and have not had any issues before now. But it was definitely this place as we were all dbl'd over and fighting over bathrooms within a couple hours.
Super disappointed to leave this, but not practicing safe food handling is dangerous and very serious. If the food was "bad", I wouldn't bother. But this is not something I can ignore. There is no excuse for making people sick.
Do better.
People ordering.... Just be warned. The food seemed fresh and tasted good.
Salmonella takes usually much longer to show signs, so im guessing the beef. But even veggies can cause food poisoning if not handled right or cross contaminated so who's to know.

Read moreAbsolutely furious we paid $105 for 5 meals NOT including tip and the food was beyond disappointing it was disgusting. $20 for Mongolian beef that had no sauce and was terrible gross quality meat that was somehow tough and slimey at the same time! DISGUSTING! $20 for Singapore rice noodles that were dry, bland and tasteless. $25 for mediocre chicken lettuce wraps. Gave us a whole lettuce which was nice but again no sauce and meat extremely mediocre. $20 for Szechuan fried rice with BARELY any ingredients other than peas and a tonne of spice to try and make up for the lack of everything else. $20 for mediocre sesame chicken that was again dry with no sauce and the tiniest amount of sesame seeds! This is the worse food I have EVER gotten and I will be trying to get our money back and will never order from them again. Never leave bad reviews but this place needs to be shut down. You’re dealing with peoples FOOD with a very obvious lack of care,...
Read moreMe and my family have been ordering from this place for a long time. Here is my take.
Many years ago this place was pretty good. However nowdays the major problem with this place is the wild inconsistency. Some things are good sometimes and other times they are aggressively awful. This is especially the case with deep fried beef plates and prawns. Also nearly all their noodle dishes are bad so stay away from that stuff. Nothing is more annoying than spending 50+ bucks on dollar noodles splashed with generic black bean sauce you could buy at superstore for 3 bucks. Im all for supporting small business and having good variety for everyone but this place is like russian roulette nowdays. There are better places in cloverdale and langley for your chinese food fix.
As for Golden Medal they really need to improve their noodles and general consistency of the plates. Robbing people of 50+ bucks with a plate of garbage every 4th order isnt...
