Zachary and Michael both provided excellent service! When I initially emailed Fortunes to have my antique gold ring repaired (a seed pearl had popped off) and resized, Zachary was quick and quite detailed in his response. He inspected the ring when I brought it in, sized my finger and advised on the repair The ring was re-sized and the pearl was reset at a reasonable price, so I am very pleased!

When I picked up the ring, I also brought in a pair of vintage gold hoop earrings to have the latch post (piercing) changed. I told Michael that the latch post was irritating my ears, assuming that it was due to the metal material.

Upon a quick inspection, Michael said that my irritation was potentially due to the thickness of the latch post and its shape (i.e., it was quite sharp like blade). He had the goldsmith shave down the latch post within a few minutes, so that it was thinner and more "rounded", less sharp. When I tried the earrings on my ears, they weren't irritated (and they haven't been irritated since!). Had it not been for his expertise, I would've assumed that I could not tolerate earrings with gold posts. Michael was also kind enough not to charge me for the earring service, so I really appreciate that. WOW!! This family ran business is absolutely amazing. It was pooring rain today, and not only did the owner offer me an umbrella because it was pooring rain, but I had ran out of change and he offered to cover my parking while I tried to sell some gold/jewellery to him. Not only are these outstanding people, but they treat you like a real and genuine person. Above and beyond, A+++. I would not sell or buy from any other jeweller. These people and their business are all that you need. The full package. Great genuine and feel good experience, as well as impeccable customer service. Of all my years receiving service at various retail, restaurant etc...this was the best. The owner, son, daughter are all amazing. You must go here and visit. My boyfriend and I were shopping for engagement rings for a few months before we walked into Fortunes Fine Jewellers. I have to say as soon as we walked in they made us feel welcomed, a lot of previous stores we went to in the past we were ignored or not taken seriously.

Michael sat down with us and showed us a few options of diamonds and even sketched out a few designs! He never pressured us into feeling like we had to shop with him.

He was so kind and professional and his artistic skills impressed us that after leavening we decided to go back the following weekend and commit to a design with him. He is so knowledgeable in the process and we felt comfortable purchasing our engagement ring from him!

Michael even signed and gave us the sketch of the ring which we cannot wait to frame.
