Poor management, poor service.
Bought a cake for a party ($230 for a vanilla cake) for an event being hosted at a new event venue nearby. I returned halfway through the event with the remnants of the cake and asked the staff person for a small box I could put it in. The staff person informed me that they would have to charge me a dollar for the box. I reminded them that I had just spent $230 (on $20 worth of 0ice creamâ), mentioned that I did not have my wallet on me, and let them know that I had several people waiting for me at the venue. I asked again, nicely, if they would mind giving me one of their cheap, disposable cardboard boxes, and reminded them I had just spent $230 on a cake. The answer was no (from the manager). Foolish, shortsighted, and just plain dumb. Take your business elsewhere.
In my lifetime I have spent thousands of dollars at Baskin Robbins whether it was for birthdays, parties, events, or just something cool in the summer. That ends today because of poor service.
By the way, after my negative experience I decided to do a little research. According to Google, Baskin Robbins is not ice cream. Yes, it contains some milk and sugar products, but it also contains mono and diglycerides, corn syrup, and a host of other things that donât belong in ice cream. Food...

For many years I went to this specific Baskin Robbins location and I thoroughly enjoyed the service and atmosphere and the store was always busy especially in peak summer on hot days. I did not go for a few years in between due to being in a different area but when i recently revisited the store i was extremely disappointed in both the staff and service. I came on a hot day and the store was unusually empty and all the faces changed in the store (I assumed it was a change in management). I ordered some ice cream and tried to pay in cash and I got answered with an extremely rude answer where I was told they donât accept cash anymore (despite other locations of the same chain accepting it easily). They started to argue with me and they could not even explain the reason behind it for it and refused to answer. This place does not only have rude staff and poor service and seems to be losing customer and the reason for it is the lack of respect to Canadian heritage and values.    Read moreI would like to provide some feedback regarding my visit to your store at around 8:30 p.m. today. I am a regular customer and a big fan of Baskin Robbins ice cream, so I am quite familiar with the usual portion sizes and quality.
During this visit, I ordered one scoop of Strawberry Cheesecake flavor. The male staff member who served me (an Indian male employee) handed me a scoop that was not shaped properlyâit was hollow in the middle and noticeably smaller than what I normally receive. When I politely mentioned that the scoop looked smaller than usual, he responded with, âWhy?â and gave me an unfriendly look. I replied again that it simply seemed smaller than the standard size, but his body language and tone made me feel uncomfortable, as if he was not willing to serve or listen to feedback.
I felt that the staff memberâs attitude was unprofessional and lacking the courtesy expected in customer service. I hope this feedback can be used constructively to improve staff training and ensure all customers feel welcomed...
