I went to Hasty Market 2277 Sheppard Ave W Unit A4, Toronto, ON M9M 0G6 to claim my lottery winning tickets. The cashier put encore on my free plays even though he never asked me if I wanted them. I never play encore. He proceeds to tell me I said yes to encore, even though he never asked me. He says he can pull up the camera footage. I say okay. He pretends to find the video and then doesn't show me?

Then, I was the one who had to remind him about my winnings. He put the earning slips on the back counter and hid them and I was about to leave with just free plays bc I thought the winnings were included in it. Then I realized and asked where they were. That's the only time he got the slips from the back counter and started counting my winnings... Then I said to use the $21 I earned to buy 21 lottery entries. He gave me 20 tickets and an encore when I already previously expressed I dont want encore! I clearly said 21 lottery entries!

The whole time this was happening, he was on his personal phone with someone.

I went back afterward to ask to remove all the encores and he said he can't do anything on his end and to contact OLG? No further help whatsoever. OLG said they couldn't change the tickets anymore so now Im stuck with encore?

What I also appreciate is that this Hasty Market doesn’t feel sketchy or neglected like some others around town. You can tell the people working here care about the space and the service they give. It’s small things—clean floors, stocked coolers, even polite small talk—that make a difference.

Best selection of candy, chips, and smoking accessories in the area. What is an extra perk is that slurpie machines are always running (Uber eats). The ice cream and pop is always fully stocked. There are many varieties of novelty candy to choose from, as well as the most recent lottery scratch cards. The owners are polite and they keep this store very clean and well organized. This store is fairly priced in a new subdivision area that could use more stores. Awesome store to spend your weekly...
