I have been using the salmon, tuna and scallop for sushi-making for the past few years and you may never have tasted salmon this fresh. I stopped going to Snappers for this reason. The U10 scallops are bright, springy and sweet when pan seared or even as lightly dressed sashimi. Real black cod available here as well as fresh oysters, clams, mussels - not to mention, a wall of oils, vinegars, capers and preserves. Read moreMike's Fish Market has been a staple in my life in Etobicoke since I was a kid. They have the freshest fish, wide selection of seafood, prepared dishes, and condiments and sides to go along with all the raw ingredients they have to offer.
There's really no better place to go in the West end of Toronto if you're serious about high quality fish. On top of that, the staff are friendly and attentive and always willing to help you out portioning the fish or giving tips to help with preparation.
