Edit: we have since returned after speaking to the owner and having him invite us back for a meal. We were served again by Mikayla who was kind, paid attention to detail and made us feel very welcomed. We had a delicious meal. Things were made quickly, correctly and all was well. Thank you Faraz for inviting us back, we had a significantly better experience this time around and will likely return. Due to past experiences my rating will stand at a 3 but overall very happy with this new experience. 💗🐔🍗
I would give this place a 0 star if I could based off the experience my husband and I just had here. We went for half off wings tonight and after standing at the front for 5 mins were told to seat ourselves (no big deal).. we sit down and both servers proceed to forget about us.. it took nearly 15 mins for one of them to come over and let us know they thought someone had helped us and laughably say sorry. We order drinks. They don’t have the drink I wanted despite the waitress saying it’s on the menu. We order apps and food. Nachos no jalapeños and with double sour cream. And two pounds with chippers. No chippers. Feeling irritated. Fast forward to nachos coming with jalapeños all over them. They took the food back and picked the jalapeños off instead of making a new plate. Our waitress says she’ll get a manager for us because I’m visibly really upset and I overhear the manager (a 20 something looking blonde lady- the one who told us to seat ourselves and forgot about us) say “so what, do they want a discount or something?” She never even came over. They brought over the picked over plate of nachos and we apologized and said to cancel our order that we would be leaving. Never in my life have I been more upset with a dining experience and this is not the first time. We’ve had countless issues with Uber orders from this location and other previous experiences trying to dine in during their open hours and showing up and having the restaurant locked up. I’m not sure who’s running this place but they should start looking for another line of work. Will be calling to speak to someone about my experience (specifically about the comment made by the so called manager) -although I don’t think there’s any repairing the way I feel about this specific wild wings location. Wild wings is one of our favourite places to eat and if it’s yours too I’d recommend avoiding this location at all costs unless a nightmare is what you’re...
Read moreDue to current events, I placed my order for pick up. I decided to try this place due to the good reviews. Upon entry, I have found the establishment quite spacious and clean with its own "country" feel to the atmosphere. As I approached the counter, I noticed a friendly server that greeted me as I told her I was there to pick up my order. She grabbed my order and brought it up to the register. As I was paying for my order, I noticed she was not wearing any type of face covering. When I asked her about it, she said she just finished her break, so she removed it. If that were the case, it would seem logical to put the face covering back on once your break was over, and especially when you're interacting with a customer that is picking up a meal.
Parking - 5: Located in a very spacious plaza with plenty of parking with no shortage of space.
Atmosphere - 3: As mentioned earlier, the decor brings itself together with a very "country" type of feel to the establishment. Not exactly my taste, however, it is fitting with their wings theme.
Space - 5: The space inside was quite spacious with tables and chairs spread out evenly. While they were not offering a dine in service, you can still see the amount of space they had to work with on "normal" days.
Service - 2: While the service was quick and efficient, I felt like nothing more than a transaction. I did not feel all that welcome nor did I feel comfortable, even more so when the server didn't seem to care about her face covering after the fact I pointed it out, and her also acknowledging the fact that it is now required. It also did not help when someone else came out of the kitchen also with NO face covering.
Food - 2: Highly disappointed with the wings. I have tried their wings at another location and always found it to be very thick, juicy, and extremely flavorful. What I received was just the opposite. For a business that focuses on wings, they have failed miserably. These wings were no better than getting them at your local pizza parlor. They were overly priced for what I received in return. Small portions for mediocre wings at best. I will no longer purchase wings from here, and instead will continue to only go to my usual Wild Wings location. Management will have to do a better job of managing the staff at this location by making sure all health and safety precautions are being followed before they're put out...
Read moreI want preface by saying I don't like leaving 1-star reviews but the customer service I got was unacceptable. I had placed an order for pick up a few weeks ago for 1lb of Bubbas Backfire and 1lb of Dirty Nelly. I picked up the order and drove home (30 minutes away) without inspecting the wings because I've ordered from here and never had issues. Got home, opened the containers and they were neither flavour I asked for. They were basic buffalo. So I called the location and spoke to both E and B (keeping their names out of this) and I was told to bring them back and they would remake them. I said that I lived 30 minutes away and that option was nor favourable as it would be over an hour before I could eat I had just worked and was hungry. So they said they had to call the manager and would call me back. They called back and said I would have a credit for the two pounds. Fast forward to today. I call and explain my situation and they asked what I had wanted to order (even asked if I wanted breaded or not) and said to show up in 25 minutes. I showed up and the person at the counter said they just started their shift and knew nothing about my situation but would speak to the manager. Before they called, I asked if the food was ready and they said yes but they had to speak to the manager. They spoke to the manager and asked who I spoke to. I gave the names and they told the manager. A few minutes later they said they couldn't get ahold of the employees so they could not verify my story. I showed them the pictures of my orange wings (both flavours I asked for were dark, not orange). They offered me 50% off because they couldn't verify with their colleagues. I declined as I had already wasted time waiting and this was not the original arrangement I had with them.
I understand times are tough for restaurants and employees but don't have your staff tell customers one thing over the phone then change the story once the customer gets there. I want to support local businesses in Etobicoke but not when their communication with customers is this poor. I'll be taking my business elsewhere and will be advising coworkers and friends as well. Sorry Wild Wings Queensway but you...
