I went to standard time last night for a pride event with my partner and friends. Everything was great, but the bartenders were rude and confrontational. I ordered a drink, a double vodka cranberry that costed $18. My partner and I both watched the bartender make our drink and did not see them put alcohol in it, just cranberry juice. We thought maybe we just missed it and paid for our drink, only to realize there was no alcohol in it at all. In a short double vodka cranberry, you would certainly be able to taste the alcohol. But we couldn’t taste any. We got multiple friends to try the drink to be sure of our thoughts, and our suspicions were confirmed. I went up to the bartender, one with long dark hair approached me and denied what I was saying. I spoke to the bartender who made our drink and she said she definitely put alcohol in our drink, saying we shouldn’t have drank so much of it if it wasn’t made right. In a short glass, there’s only so many sips you can take. And we wanted to be sure of what we thought so we drank about half of it so as to not wrongly accuse the bartender. The same bartender with dark hair approached me unprompted and was very rude to me, very dismissive and basically called me stupid and shunned me away. I had approached both very politely and with understanding, only for them to be unacceptably rude - specifically the one with dark hair. I didn’t get her name, but this experience was on 28 June 2023. Very disheartening and disappointing. A waste...

I'm sure it's a lovely lounge and record shop during the day, but their sound system leaves much to be desired. It is undoubtedly way better than the old one they had, but I think it's really designed for high fidelity listening at lower volumes. As a club system, it just doesn't cut it. You can barely hear the music over people talking, and I have to take my earplugs out to really make out any details in the sound. Even during headlining sets the volume is too low.
Furthermore, the crowd here is always hit or miss. Sometimes it just feels like a bunch of hipsters show up to be seen or casually socialize rather than really letting loose for a good party. Very weird vibe at times, very little dancing most of the time.
If you're someone who raves or parties regularly, you will most likely be disappointed by the...
Read moreA music venue, great space for a down and dirty rave. Toronto vibe, young crowd.
These types of venues are not run on huge budgets, which makes them special in their own way.
As with most electronic music events, there is an element of keeping yourself safe by making some good decisions, wether you need to come with friends, or just be respectful to others.
Oh yeah, it is hard to find good parking around here, closest Green P I could find was on...
