I am thrilled with a re-style of an old ring that Pernilla did for me. Back in the 70s my mum bought a gold ring in what I now know to be the "brutalist" style popular in the 60s through 70s. She was divorced, so at some point she had the 3 baby diamonds from her engagement ring set into the gold brutalist ring. On my 30th birthday she gave the ring to me. This year for my 60th birthday, my husband and I decided to have the 2 baguette diamonds from the ring he gave me, along with 2 other baby diamonds from a ring given to me by my grandmother, set all together into the brutalist ring. Pernilla was very patient with me as we went back and forth firstly in person and then via email, as we figured out the best placement for the 4 additional diamonds. The results were spectacular! I love it. It looks like a little brutalist masterpiece. Now I have a ring that has diamonds gifted to me from three of the people I love most in the world. I was lucky enough to stumble upon this wonderful hub of creativity at Pernilla's Aurum Argentum Goldsmith shop on Granville Island. I am now working on a third piece of jewellry with Pernilla and am always delighted with the outcome. My pieces have been redesigned from their outdated designs and in some cases, the original diamonds and gold being incorporated into the new piece.
