Finally decided to try this place as its close to my workplace. Right off the bat, there is always a line up, so me waiting for 10min to order was expected.
I ended up ordering the Ahi Tuna bowl. (was recommended by staff saying it taste better but for surcharge of +$3) with brown rice
For mix in I was recommended the Scallions, spicy shoyu, pickled red onion and Cilantro
Toppings I had included, pickled ginger, kimchi cucumber, Jalapeno, radish and edamame.
For premium topping i added, Spicy Crab, Spicy Seaweed, and avacado.
Sauce i had was the miso ginger soy as well as the Citris ponzu (was recommended by staff was told it was light dressing)
Finished with Chopped nori, peas shots and masago.
Total came up to $17. Which was a tad pricey. Considering I can get similar Chirashi don do less than 17$ and with more seafood.
So onto the taste test: Everything was extremely salty, even though i specifically told the staff I wanted something light. The seaweed that was added has a very overpowering taste of the ocean "very seaweedy?" so pretty much half my experience for me was filled with the taste of seaweed. The Rice was actually cooked al dente and was actually cooked pretty well. But im not here to review their rice, When I did finally get to the fish, it was very fresh. The Ahi Tuna was really fluffy. BUT!! that is only the pieces that weren't coated with sauce. Most other piece were just covered with the sauce itself.
My recommendation: 1)West coast poke should remove some redundant toppings, this will limit how it overpowers the whole bowl.
You guys have fresh fish there is no need to drench it in sauce, it make its hard for people to experience the nature sweetness of the fish itself.
Portion sizes could be a bit larger for your proteins, considering the surrounding restaurant around ironwood, West coast poke appears to be targeting the mid to upper dining range of employees around here.
TLDR; portion are small, overpowering taste of sauce, perfectly cooked rice. Friendly staff. A bit on the pricey end.

From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere that immediately set the tone for a fantastic dining experience.
The menu at Westcoast Poké offers an impressive variety of fresh and flavorful ingredients, allowing diners to customize their poké bowls to their heart's content. The quality of the ingredients was evident with each bite – from the tender slices of sashimi-grade fish to the vibrant array of vegetables and toppings, every component was bursting with freshness and flavor.
One thing that stood out to me was the attention to detail in every aspect of the meal. Not only were the poké bowls beautifully presented, but the portion sizes were generous, ensuring that every diner left feeling satisfied. The staff were also incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure that each guest felt welcomed and well taken care of throughout their visit.
In addition to the exceptional food and service, Westcoast Poké also offers a range of unique and creative house-made sauces that elevate the flavors of the poké bowls to new heights. I had "Smoke" and my wife had "Pacific." Don't forget to add the burnt miso chili oil! The best!
Overall, my experience at Westcoast Poké was nothing short of fantastic. With its delicious food, inviting atmosphere, and top-notch service, it's clear that this poké place is truly a gem. I can't wait to come back and explore more of their menu offerings – Westcoast Poké has definitely earned a spot as one of my favorite dining...
Read moreI came here to buy lunch waiting for 25 mins to place an order. There was a few servers. One was a cashier to collect money. One took orders starting with getting the fish and other ingredients. One picked up other ingredients and mixed them all up. A fourth one was helping out. It took a while that customers ordered the food one by one. It was extremely slow and not efficient at all. Probably the kitchen or food counter is smaller that all servers squeezed in together and got food for customers at the same time. It was tough for them as well. Anyhow, I was not enjoying the waiting part of this eating experience at all. Wasted 25 mins of my lunch hour.... not impressive...
I ordered a regular poke with tuna (pacific on the menu). Regular portion had three scoops of meat or fish. It was good. I got to choose the base (e.g. salad, rice, brown rice and etc.). I ordered brown rice. The dish was supposed to have certain ingredients, but I forgot which ingredient they were running out. I had to ask for green seaweeds to replace them. So sad. It was the busy hours that the restaurant would not have enough ingredients on hand in order to prepare for the customers. Anyway, I mixed all the ingredients in the bowl before eating. I ate the whole bowl as I was very hungry after the long wait. I liked the dish because of the sauces. I had a better poke in downtown.
Overall, the eating experience here was not great unless they have shorten the wait time, improved the customer service, ensured there would be enough ingredients to cover the busy hours or orders, and provided fresh fish...
