This is truly one of those secret gems in the middle or Vancouver. I've been in this city for over 22 years and I only just discovered Charleston Park in the fall of 2017, even tho I have literally driven right by it thousands of not tens of thousands or times in the past 22 years. Located on a section of the Seawall between Granville and Cambie Streets, it's a part of the Seawall that doesn't get as much foot traffic as others areas, so unless you know it's there, this park goes relatively unnoticed. Complete with rolling hills; grassy knoll, open meadows, tranquil picnic spots, a cedar and pine forest (you really don't expect to see a rugged wilderness forecast in this part of the city); a small lake; a creek and a grotto cave and waterfall; off-leash dog park; wilderness trails; biking and rollerblade trails; flower gardens; community garden plots; an elementary school; and just gorgeous sweeping views of a False Creek and the Downtown Cityscape PLUS just steps to Granville Island, Olympic Village, and shopping! Who could ask for anything more?!? I highly recommend taking a stroll along there one afternoon. You will be pleasantly surprised, and a little amazed at...

An amazing location in Vancouver with the view of downtown skyscrapers with Marinas. Haroubour ferries connect from point to point at various locations at both banks. There are townhouses and condos my the path so wise to respect their privacy. There is also a False Creek Elementary school adjacent to this park hence if you are in bicycle please watch children...
Read moreVery nice park. Easy access from Seaside bike path or off Broadway bike path. Seems popular with dog owners and friends with off leash areas. There is a waterfall pond. Not large and spectacular nor is it visible from the dog areas but it is peaceful and calm (and really small). You can see it at the top which I guess is the southern end. The water at the top looks clean and clear I was tempted to drink. The trail to the top where the pond starts is pleasant and has many trees. The playground looks new. Like China Creek North the slide is integrated into the slope, which I think is a great design. Just a little bit up and to it's right is a nice big tree. This park I think is not like your usual neighborhood park. There didn't appear to be playing fields and such but it is in my mind quite a pleasant place to...
