I always see their white catering van. I see a gentleman and a lady usually shopping for grocery supplies every morning. They probably wonder why I’m there every morning as well LOL. I’ve always contemplated if I should try their cafe and boy let me tell you… I regret that I ever contemplated.

Today March 14 at noonish I arrived at this humble spot with my dad. We had some time to explore some lunch spots. There’s free parking all around. It was our first time here and we proceeded to the cashier counter. There was a lovely lady who greeted us. When I ask what is good here because it’s our first time, she replied, “everything is good here.” Wow, you can feel the pride and honesty. She was very confident. So I grabbed a menu and a table and decided on 2 items.

Today they had a $10 dollar special. Chicken broccoli pasta with garlic toast. When it arrived at our table it was a generous portion and most importantly it was delicious. I really enjoyed it.

My dad had the $6 soup and sandwich of the day. I know right? Amazing price! Choice today was chicken noodle or veg barley. Got the barley and it came with today’s sandwich which was a bacon and mushroom omelette sandwich. The bowl of soup is generous, delicious, wholesome, and fair. My dad hates salty soup but this one was done beautifully. Came with crackers too. The sandwich is good too. He enjoyed it.

Coffee here is self serve and is refillable too. There’s a coffee station on the corner and creamers in their pop fridge. I forgot to ask them how much their drinks were in the fridge cause there wasn’t a price posted for them.

Overall? This ten plus table cafe has a lot of character. I really felt nourished. I know it seems silly maybe to say such high standards about this family owned place. But man… I really loved it during our first visit. It’s humble with good food with good value. While we were eating the staff talks to the regulars and everyone is so friendly here. I can’t wait to try other items here. Thank you for a great experience!

If anyone is gonna spend 12 bucks at McDonald’s, you should come here instead seriously. After our meal i...

Located on the industrial side (south) of S.W. Marine Drive and Manitoba St., this little cafe, diner, casual dining, catering establishment is a classic. Unpretentious and offering honest, good food. At the helm is a honed, experienced chef who offers customers great value for their hard earned money. Portions are larger than expected and their daily specials are something to look forward to. On this visit, I had the fish & chips (1 pc.) special for $11.50 (add 1pc. fish for $6.95). The fish was the size of my hand, perfectly crispy batter encasing the moist, steamy hot fillet. perfect. Served, as it should, with kennebec style fries and tartar sauce and lemon wedge. As the picture shows, no frills, no bells and whistles - that was unnecessary as the food spoke for itself. While enjoying my lunch, I took in the hand written menu on the blackboard behind the counter...from burgers to spaghetti and meatballs to lamb and chicken souvlaki, their menu is as varied as your cravings of the day. I will definitely return and try more items. (I left with a slice of carrot cake to go!) This little cafe has been around since 2003, and obviously they have been doing something right! Support local small business - they ae the heartbeat of...

My partner and I have been ordering from here for the past year or so with no disappointment. The fries were so fresh and perfectly crispy. The burgers, although mini size were the perfect lunch bite!! But today, it was the second time ordering in the last couple weeks. And I don't know what happened. But it is NOT the same. The fries are soggy and not cooked all the way. You can tell when you take a bite, its crunchy (raw potato) and kind of sour? I don't know why it's sour. The burgers tastes overcooked - no longer juicy and flavorful. Also, we placed 4 orders of the mini burgers and it asks you to add $1.00 if you want side fries. But when we got our food, you can see it is not a full order like before. The fries given were half the amount ordered. Again, this was not an issue and it was never like this a few months back. We didn't want to leave a review as we never received anything less. But because this happened a second time, unfortunately we most likely will not be ordering from...
