I ordered an everything croissant and roasted ham sandwich as well as an apples, PB, & trail mix snack box.
The sandwich was pretty delicious as is most of their breakfast sandwiches, especially when you get them to heat it up. The snack box was definitely disappointing, especially for the price. I miss the cheese and fruit snack boxes that had cheddar, gouda, and brie cheese, apples, grapes, and crackers. It was a nice balance and was also filling. The other snack box that I am also used to getting would be the one that also had PB and apples but it also came with hard-boiled eggs, grapes, cheese, and bread for the PB. The snack box that I bought (the only one that was available at this location) definitely fell short and was far from filling. I hope they will have either of the options I mentioned above sometime in the future.
The service was pretty good. The person who took my order was very friendly and the rest of the people working seemed to be very organized and efficient. However, it did take awhile for me to receive my order despite the fact that there was no one ahead of me waiting at the pick-up counter. It seems like they prioritize the online orders moreso than the orders that are placed in the store. I probably waited about 8 minutes for them to heat up my sandwich (no drink was ordered).
The space is relatively small but does offer a variety of seating which is nice.
Overall, a decent experience with a few areas for improvement. However, I will say that this location was not as congested as how other Starbucks locations can be, probably due to its more...
Read moreI was on a construction site near Marine Drive SW & Ontario Street, so visiting this Starbucks was a no-brainer. Starbucks is great because it’s predictable, reliable, and everywhere. Starbucks is so reliable that I don’t review all the Starbucks that I visit because it’s kind of redundant.
This one was cool because it’s right beside a Canadian Tire and Mark’s Work Wearhouse. For a construction worker, that’s like a dream come true. The perfect combination of coffee and cool stores. I think there’s actually a Best Buy at the end of the block, which is another good reason to come here.
This Starbucks was on the smaller side, but it had all the usual amenities. Good service, coffee, food, seating, wifi, etc. I had a Tall Pike black coffee, with a bag of salted kettle potato chips. The chips aren’t bad and more importantly, they're convenient when you need a snack to grab and go.
Usually I go for a croissant but recently I’ve started a low gluten diet. And potato chips are low in gluten. Starbucks has healthier low gluten options but I needed something fast, easy, and predictable. Convenience always wins in the end and Starbucks...
Read moreIt's a funny location, basically part of the Canadian Tire parking garage. Once you walk inside, however, it's bright and welcoming. There's loads of seating, especially small tables for parties of two. Staff are cheerful and make the drinks very well and fairly quickly. Considering it's not fresh, I do like the food, at Starbucks, but why they had to take away the chocolate chunk muffin and oat fudge bar, and leave us with those little vanilla scones, I'll never understand. I do have another issue with Starbucks, in general: if you're going to start charging a "cup fee" (25 cents), the day after Red Cup Day, maybe the red cups should have been nicer-looking? And if it's a matter of ecology, then the food shouldn't all be individually wrapped in plastic, eh? But this is a good location, and Starbucks is still loads better than both Blenz and Waves, so, you know, five...
