I made my first appointment with Vancouver Nail Salon for an acrylic removal and dip powder. She took one look at my nails and lamented at how the person who had done my nails did a poor job - the acrylic was too thick and all the nails were a different shape. Instead, Winnie suggested doing a fill instead and promised to make my nails look more natural and even.

I wanted a chocolate colour with a faux French detail in gold and she DELIVERED. The third photo were my nails before and you can absolutely tell the difference in quality!

I missed having my nails done so much! It really helps with my mental health and supports some of my AuDHD needs, so I was excited to finally get them done while I was in the area for work.

My nail tech was so sweet—we bonded over our love for cats, and she did a wonderful job on the design. I’m obsessed! I also love supporting local, home-based salons because they’re usually quieter and more peaceful, which really helps with my sensory needs. There were some loud videos playing, but aside from that, I was so relaxed I nearly fell asleep.

Got my first ever nail extensions/dip powder a few days ago. I got a very spontaneous appointment and they were so friendly on the phone. Little did I know it was her birthday!!! She casually mentioned in the middle of the session and was too sweet about it. She made an exception for me that day, as I was a new customer, and was extremely nice and knowledgeable so she helped me decide on the best shape and I love it.
