Zadel Jewellery Studio — Local services in Vancouver

My partner and I agreed to exchange promise rings last December, but we wanted to create something unique that represents both of us. After a brief search for local jewellers, we came upon Zadel Jewellery Studio and decided to give them a visit.

We booked a consultation not knowing what we wanted nor even what to expect within a 1 hour meeting, then left Zadel Studio with not only multiple iterations of designs we loved, but also a breakdown of our sizes, the materials (metals, jewels) and labour that would be involved

Our first meeting already impressed us; even though we had no idea what we wanted as far as designs go, Adele was quick to suggest concepts to base our idea around. She immediately had pen to paper and we decided we wanted to base our idea on a knot — two separate entities, twisted together to form one. From there Adele began drafting out several different iterations to develop as digital models, and sent us refined images from her CAD software later that same weekend.

We had delays down the line (external factors that were not related to Adele and her team) but even still, Adele was very patient and professional with her customer service skills, updating us frequently with design updates without being overbearing or pressuring. As soon as we were ready to move forward to the next phase, Adele was a step ahead of us and took care of everything with barely any effort on our end. It took some time, but when we finally picked up our rings in March, she was even willing to stay past her own availability to show us our rings personally. Excellent touch.

What an amazing experience!

My partner and I stumbled upon this jewelry store by accident on vacation and absolutely fell in love with the designs of the rings and the personal experience that Adele gave us in store. She let us see the stones in store lighting and sun light for the full experience and we fell in love with the sapphire stone we saw and we knew it was the one. We began the process that same day in-store and continued the rest of the process over email as we were travelling back to Toronto the same day.

Adele was very engaged and supported us in a timely manner during the design phase of the ring and was more than welcoming to our suggestions for our preferences and sent us the pictures of the design file which simulated what our ring would look like. She was able to take an already amazing design and elevate it to be personalized and a ring that I feel is exactly right for me. She even suggested that we embed my partners birth stone under the ring so that the ring has both our stones; the pale blue sapphire (my birth stone) and a pale blue topaz (his birth stone). I absolutely love the eye for detail that Adele had for us and as we were just shopping for rings online prior to this experience, I couldn’t be more grateful for her.

Finally once the design process was done, it took 2 weeks for the ring to be ready and then a few days to get from BC to Toronto.

When starting to scout out places to look for engagement rings I went through two other places before finding Zadel Jewellery. Initially I had a unique sapphire shape/colour in mind and the previous two places I went to; along with the three jewellers I had appointments for said it may be hard to source as it's like finding a needle in a haystack.

The first place had the shape but not the right colour. The rest couldn't find it, so they offered alternatives. I had four appointments that week- the first was Zadel Jewellery.

Adele not only sourced the correct stone shape, but sourced four different shades in the right colour to go by.

Shortly after speaking with Adele, she also helped me decide on something completely different, that would actually better suit my future fiancé. Through Adele's passion, dedication and resourcefulness to her clients, I cancelled my remaining three appointments and put down a deposit for the stone.

My fiancé couldn't be happier with the ring. It's as if Adele knew exactly what she would like better than I did haha. We both cannot wait to go through the process of designing our wedding bands with Adele as she did all the heavy lifting when it came to designing the perfect...
