This is a classic food stop at Granville Island that doesn’t try to be anything more than it is. It serves basic breakfast and sandwich options for affordable prices and if you can find a table, gives you one of the best views in the city.
While you probably won’t write home about any of their dishes, they do everything well and the portions are just right. My wife had the omelette wrap and I had the bagels with lox and both were fresh, not too heavy and prepared quickly. My bagel and lox had a ton of capers and both dishes came with a good handful of pickles, which were a nice little addition.
Because we went close to opening, I think it was the first time I actually found a seat, so we had a beautiful view of the Burrard St bridge and False Creek.

Not really a coffee lover but organic coffee at the Blue Parrot coffee shop on Granville Island is smooth and delicious. Also tried the Bagel & Lox, you get two halves with ample Cream Cheese, Lox, Onion and Capers for $9.95. Bagel was fresh and toasted. Extensive breakfast and lunch menu. Worth a try when you are on Granville Island.

I think they do the right thing by putting on a significant amount of smoked salmon so that the bagel itself is not visible. I liked the addition of the slices of dill pickle which came as a surprise. The bill came to $28.67 - which I thought was reasonable. Bonus for me was that they gave us real glasses we could fill from the nearby fountain at no charge. So many other places charge too much for...
