This is the closest Walmart to my house and is conveniently located near the Go Station. Recently we've noticed errors in pricing.
On our most recent trip items on sale in flyer and marked in aisle and on packaging with the sale price ring up as non sale price on the self serve checkout, we ask associate for assistance and ask if they can update the system so it doesn't happen to other shoppers. Associate updates the price for us and walks away.
Another item that on shelves has sale pricing all over rings up at non sale price ask for assistance and another associate comes by and we are asked if we took a photo of the price... We ask if a store associate can check the pricing and are told no one works in that section and we'd have to go take a photo.
Go take a photo and a customer service manager (Luca) comes to help who looks at the photo and says the barcode doesn't match.. and we ask do have to go back and look at the entire shelf for a matching barcode he says it should match we ask does it seem right that a customer has to go and check and go take a photo? His response is that's it's not right.
We then ask about the other items not ringing up that's on sale in flyer and in aisle and on the package, we pull out our phones to show him the price on the flyer (Flipp and also on Walmart.ca) which he says we don't accept online flyers to which I ask even the one from Walmart Canada's website to which he said yes we only accept our printed flyers and the online flyer is for bigger Walmarts... no associate could provide him a printed flyer.
I ask for a manager which Luca replies there isn't one in store and that if we had a complaint to reach out to head office. I walked over to customer service where I know they post the name a photo of the manager (Yohan Aguilar).
Luca did adjust the prices of the items and I know he did what he was able to do.
But the management at this location needs to do something about the incorrect pricing on shelves and in their POS system especially when sales end and start.
Not everyone looks to ensure that the right price comes up when they are checking themselves out... A couple dollars here and...
Read more1 star exclusively due to the lack of professionalism of Rohail, the customer service manager (would give 0 if possible).
I was returning a perished grocery item well before it’s expiry date and with receipt. Rohail was called and took one look at me and immediately became dismissive and borderline hostile. I have never experienced such lack of professionalism to date.
Immediately after glancing at me, without even looking at the product or my receipt, he declined any sort of return or refund, including partial. Perhaps he was profiling me in some way though granted this is speculative.
At this point he turned his back to me and attempted to walk away. With some prompting for further discussion he glanced at the product then began making up rules as to why they could not offer any sort of refund or exchange (I used to work in a grocery store and know that he was blatantly lying). He continued to make up additional excuses and walked off entirely, completely ignoring me. He then refused to allow me to speak to a store manager.
I have been coming to this store for years and never experienced such blatant lack of professionalism or disrespect until this interaction with Rohail. How he came into any sort of management position, let alone customer service, is beyond me and perhaps requires reevaluation by upper management. I will be bringing this to their attention as if I was running this store I certainly would not want him representing my brand.
If upper management sees this review, please feel free to reach out to me for further information. Rohail is hurting your reputation and bottom line.
Edit: the name Rohail is apparently fake. So whomever this person was impersonated being the manager and gave a fake name. Avoid this store at all costs. If you’re dealing with customer service insist on speaking with the...
Read moreWalmart Credit Card Scam,
A stranger ( an anonymous person) had made 3 purchases of $267 overnight on my Walmart Credit card. These transactions were charged on my PayPal account that’s linked to the Walmart master card. Next morning as soon as I noticed the charges, immediately called both PayPal and Walmart, and reported the fraud to them. I was told to give them a few days to investigate the fraud. Long story short they both approved that this was a fraud case. So, The PayPal ( merchant) paid Walmart the amount that was stolen from me, however, the Walmart still keeps billing me the amounts of $801 on my statements. Every time I called the Walmart’s master card customer service, the call gets transferred to a foreign country ( mostly Philippines), they take all my information to verify my call then they say I must be transferred to their security department, and after a long wait it rings a couple of times and my call gets disconnected. I kept trying many times and finally were able to talk to their security department they made an excuse that the amount was double credited ( which Walmart fails to provide me a proof if they deposited the amount on the card). As soon as I request them to send me the proof for their claim my call gets immediately disconnected. Walmart is supposed to send me a bill with a zero balance since they received the stolen money paid them by PayPal, but still wants to charge me for that. This is absolutely unfair. I am just sharing my story with public then people will give it a second thought before signing up for the Walmart master card. They have zero customer protection. Do not fall...
