Ignore review from Joanne Hebert from Langley, BC. Good food box doesn't deliver nor is it available where she is located. Strangely its the only review she's done in Victoria, weird.
I have a feeling there is a conflict of interest there or something. I've yet to get a bad vegetable, nor has any of the 12+ people I know that use them as well.
That being said, I have no affiliation with GoodFoodBox nor anyone who works there, so maybe this Vancouverite swam to Victoria just to get a small box of produce, however it's more likely she is being paid by competitors of a non-profit... weak.
We don't pay for a subscription, instead we just choose and order boxes whenever we need them. So far we've ordered the Large Box (Assorted Multi-Color Carrots, Celery, Cabbage, Zuccini, Apples, Oranges, Bananas, etc there is more I just can remember haha), Organic Box (This one is by far my favourite, I dont even care its organic, just good quality produce), Snack Box and Fruit Box. All the fruit and vegetables have been outstanding quality. Its easy to use, simple to order and we've never had a single problem.
Its great for the two of us, and while we sometimes cant finish it all before produce eventually starts going bad, we just dehydrate it or freeze it for soups/meals. Perfect for any couple or family (as you can just order larger boxes) who dont want to deal with Grocery stores and exposure.
It's perfect in this current epidemic for me and my wife, we just order sometime before Weds and boom, its...
Read moreGreat service! This is local to Greater Victoria, and they offer amazing fresh produce (not to be confused for the similarly named meal kit service) at very affordable prices. You get a lot of it! They source locally where they can and support family’s and people in need, so it is a great organization to to support. You get your veggies, and you support people in need! All the volunteers and people who work here are amazing to interact with.
I love getting these boxes! When stored right, I can make some of the produce last me all month long from one large box.
(P.s. The 2 negative reviews here are NOT about this service, they are about the meal kit delivery service called GoodFood. This is Good Food Box which is only fresh fruits and veggies, and only delivered when you order from the website, they do not have an app...
Read moreGoodfood sets everything up in a way to ensure their subscribers continue to receive and be charged for unwanted boxes. Their app is purposefully designed to make it more difficult to skip multiple weeks, or skip long term (multiples steps rather than easy choice and application). Furthermore, twice this year, I received boxes on dates I had previously chosen to skip, when I looked back at the app, my choices (including the subsequent weeks in which I had previously set to "skip") had been changed back to "Scheduled". Of course, their poor customer service offers no accountability. On these weeks that these boxes are automatically sent, they send you their cheapest meals (value far below what they charge you). I can not give a low enough account of Goodfood, their product, their customer service,...
