Garden City Square — Local services in Winnipeg

We visited with my son, and I am very dissatisfied with the service. First of all, it is unclear how they prioritize orders. Another man and I were standing and waiting for our orders for a long time. Then, a woman, seemingly an acquaintance of someone, came to the counter. They talked for a while, and then her order was served. Then, other people's orders were served, and only then, at a leisurely pace, ours. And we had waited for a long time. McDonald's, the chain that pioneered the fastest service in the world, is really slow here. When our order was finally served, the screen did not show any order numbers. They just call out, and you might easily miss your number. Then, they forgot to give a straw for my child. When I asked for a straw, the staff member, with an indifferent look and very slowly, handed it to me. Often, the trash bins in this place are overflowing, leaving no place to dispose of used utensils. My child repeatedly says that the food served is not what was ordered. The hamburger is depicted with lettuce, but he says there's no lettuce in it. We come here only because my child likes to get a Happy Meal. Even the Happy Meal has become very uninteresting. Such an awful experience at Garden City Square😕 I attempted to take a picture of furniture that I recently purchased from one of the leaseholders but was told by the mall security that I was not allowed to take ANY photos in the mall at any time PERIOD!! I advised that I had permission and attempted to have him speak with the leaseholder directly but he refused. He then proceeded to follow me and my son around the shopping mall for the rest of our shopping visit making us feel extremely uncomfortable and very self conscious as though we were criminals. If the goal of the security at Garden City is to intimidate women shoppers then bravo they have accomplished...

Visited Subway and was extremely disappointed as a result of attitude of employees as to the wearing of masks by customers.

A young lady, about 17, without a mask, was there with her mother, who was masked, carrying a baby, and with her little brother, who was not masked.

People stayed away, from them, but when they came to order, the mother sat down on a bench, while the young lady and brother went through order line. She was asked about not wearing a mask and answered that she had no mask.

Instead of throwing them out, they were served, even though it was against the prevailing law.
